2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

The NBA season has yet to be finished, but there is a clear-cut contender according to the betting odds on who will win the NBA Rookie of the Year award for the 2019-20 season.

Memphis Grizzlies' guard Ja Morant was selected second in the 2019 NBA Draft and turned into the most dynamic player in the class. Morant helped lead the Grizzlies to a 32-33 record, as the season win total for Memphis sat at only 27.5 victories. The former Murray State standout paced the Grizzlies by averaging 17.6 points per game and nearly seven assists a game. Morant opened the season at 4/1 odds (+400) to capture the Rookie of the Year award, but closed at 1/4 odds (-400) prior to the season being suspended.

The top pick in last June's draft missed the first three months of the season before making a late charge at Rookie of the Year. New Orleans Pelicans' forward Zion Williamson exploded onto the scene in only 19 games to average 23.6 points per game. The former Duke star helped the Pelicans to a 10-9 record following a horrendous start, but slipped to 3/1 odds for Rookie of the Year consideration after opening the season at 2/3 odds.
