Denis Bouanga has emerged as the standout player for Los Angeles. The winger frequently cuts inside to shoot with his right foot, making him a significant threat in this tournament. Over his last nine matches, he has scored eight goals and provided three assists.

Bouanga's impressive form has contributed to LAFC's unbeaten streak of nine competitive matches. During this period, they have averaged 2.34 goals per game but have managed to keep only two clean sheets. Their defense may face difficulties against some of the top attackers in Group D.

Chelsea and Los Angeles FC are set to meet for the first time in the Club World Cup. Chelsea has more experience when it comes to facing teams from outside their confederation. James, Adarabioyo, and Colwill, who did not start in Wrocław, are all expected to take the field from the beginning of the match. The only players injured for manager Enzo Maresca are David and Wesley Fofana, both of whom are anticipated to return by the end of the month.

On the other hand, Los Angeles FC manager Steve Cherundolo is likely to maintain the same formation that defeated Club América in the Club World Cup qualification play-off, albeit without Lorenzo Dellavalle, Odin Holm, and Cengiz Ünder, who are sidelined due to injuries.
