The New York Yankees entered Saturday on the heels of three straight losses to the Boston Red Sox. Matt Carpenter batted in half of the team's 14 runs on the swings of two three-run home runs. Safe to say, the All-Star break cannot get here fast enough for some teams. The Yankees now lead an already tightening division by 13 games, as they were helped by the Orioles' win at the Rays.

A couple key trends to hone on is how well the Yankees have hit left-handed pitchers. They have won 12 straight at home vs. left-handed pitchers. The total has now gone over in five straight games the Red Sox and Yankees have faced off. Off 15 runs on Saturday night, the total is set at 8.0 for Sunday afternoon.
