The Atlanta Braves are looking to repeat as champions, but right now are three full games behind the Mets for the National League East. The playoffs still are likely as they hold a nine game lead in the top wild card standings. The New York Mets continue their remarkable year sitting atop the National League East with the Atlanta Braves hot on their tail.

If winning the division does not happen, the top wild card spot is still a nice spot to be in. They would be the only wild card team to host a playoff game. Repeating as a World Series champion is a tough ask for the Braves, but they are definitely in a good position to make that happen.

The Cardinals and Braves have split the first two in this series and look to Sunday to crown a series winner. The Cardinals were down 4-0 last night but battled back and walked it off, literally, in the bottom of the 9th inning by plating Paul Goldschmidt. Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN will provide the backdrop for this potential playoff matchup.

Fubo Sportsbook is offering new players a welcome promotion when they sign up using the VIBONUS promo code. After signing up using that code, Fubo is giving you a risk-free bet up to $1,000, along with a month free subscription on their streaming service. FuboTV has hundreds of channels that include ESPN, ESPN2, The Sports Network, MLB Network, Big Ten Network, SEC Network, and Fox Sports 1 among many more.

Fubo Sportsbook currently has this matchup listed with the St. Louis Cardinals as slight favorites. They are -130 on the money line, and the visiting Atlanta Braves are +110. A $100 wager on the Braves would get a $110 return.

The Braves will start Jake Odorizzi, and he comes into this matchup with a 5-5 record. He owns a 3.95 ERA in his 79.2 innings and has allowed two earned or fewer in four of his last five outings. He just went six strong innings allowing just one earned run on four hits. Since joining the Braves in a trade from Houston, Odorizzi has four starts, and the Braves have gone 2-2 in those matchups.

The Cardinals will counter with father time himself. Adam Wainwright is now 40 years old, but is having himself another remarkable season. His record is just 9-9 but on a consistent 3.11 season ERA. He also heads into this matchup on a good run, allowing two earned or fewer in five of his last six. One of those included a strong complete game performance allowing just one earned against the Brewers.

The total is set to 8.5 with the over a little pricier at -115. The under is -105. The Atlanta Braves are 14-4-4 to the over in their last 22 road games and 14-4-3 in their last 21 against a team with a winning record. The Cardinals have also trended up in their last five games, going over the total in four of those. In the last five meetings between these clubs in St. Louis, the over is 4-1 in the last five.

Fubo Sportsbook is a great place to take advantage of a risk-free bet up to $1,000 on the Braves and Cardinals. Remember to utilize the VIBONUS bonus code and also receive a month subscription of their FuboTV streaming service.

Until next time, enjoy the ride.
