The Toronto Blue Jays have finally found a little bit of rhythm heading into the final part of the 2022 season. They are now just 8.5 games back from the American League East leaders in the New York Yankees. The Tampa Bay Rays are in second place just a half game up from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox have had an up and down season and a series against the Blue Jays could help their cause in making an improbable late season run at the post season.

The American League wild card race is insane right now. The wild card race currently a mad race that include six teams within four games of each other, and seven teams within six games of each other. The entire American League East is in the race for either the division or the wild card. This three-game series is just one of many matchups the division will enjoy through the end of the season.

The Toronto Blue Jays will give the ball to Ross Stripling who owns a 5-3 record with a 2.93 ERA. He also just had a nice start allowing just one hit spanning 6.1 innings against the Baltimore Orioles. In 24 appearances including eight relief appearances Stripling has not allowed more than three earned runs.

Josh Winckowski has just 12 starts this season and has eaten up just 60.2 innings. He has gotten an out in the seventh innings just once this year and owns a 5.19 ERA. He owns a slightly worse home ERA at 5.64, which is understandable considering the hitter-friendly a of Fenway Park. Winckowski has allowed 10 home runs on 70 hits, 21 free passes and has struck out 36 batters.

The total is set to 9.5 with the over and under both priced at -110. Both sides have trended towards the under in their recent games with the total flying under in the last four home games for the Red Sox. The Blue Jays have seen the under hit in five of their last six games overall. Fenway is known for being friendly to batters, but in the last 11 meetings between these franchises the under has hit eight times.

The total has gone over in four of the last five meetings overall.
