The Colorado Rockies will take on the host Atlanta Braves on Thursday night in the finale of a three-game set. First pitch is slated for 7:20 p.m. ET from Truist Park. Coverage will be on each team’s regional sports channel as well as MLB.TV.   

This is a pitching matchup between a pair of righties. Chad Kuhl will take the mound for the Rockies. Spencer Strider is the starting pitcher for the Braves. Kuhl has a 6-7 record with an ERA of 5.17. Strider is 8-4 and his ERA is 2.84.

Strider has given up 72 hits, six home runs, and 38 walks in addition to tossing 158 strikeouts in 106.2 innings. The Braves are 2-0 in Strider’s two starts this season. In Strider’s last start vs. the Cardinals on Aug. 26, he gave up one earned run and threw seven strikeouts in six innings. 

Prior to the action on Aug. 31, the Rockies ranked second in batting average (.262), sixth in on-base percentage (.321), tied for 12th in RBI (552), 12th in slugging percentage (.402) and 23rd in home runs (114). First baseman C.J. Cron leads the Rockies in home runs (24), RBI (86), and hits (131). Shortstop Jose Iglesias is tops on the Rockies in batting average (.304). Left fielder Connor Joe leads the Rockies in on-base percentage (.341).

Third baseman Austin Riley leads the Braves in batting average (.288) and home runs (32). Right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. has a team-best on-base percentage of .366. Shortstop Dansby Swanson is tops on the Braves in hits (147). First baseman Matt Olson is second on the Braves in home runs (27) and tops in RBI (87). 

The Rockies are 69-60-1 against the spread overall and 27-34-1 against the spread on the road. For over/under, the Rockies are 62-63-5 overall and 30-30-2 on the road. 

The Braves are 65-65 against the spread overall and 30-37 against the spread at home. For over/under, the Braves are 65-58-7 overall and 32-33-2 at home.
