The Warriors entered the fourth quarter ahead by 23 after outscoring the Celtics 35-14 out of halftime. Klay Thompson (11 points on 4-for-19 shooting) and Andrew Wiggins (11 points on 4-for-12 shooting) struggled offensively in the victory. 

Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum collected 21 of his 28 points in the first half, while also totaling six rebounds. Five-time Celtics All-Star center Al Horford was limited to only two points after leading the team with 26 points in the Game 1 victory. Overall, the Warriors held the Celtics to 37.5 percent shooting, as they missed 50 of their 80 field goals. Interestingly, both teams shot an identical 15-for-37 from the 3-point line (40.5 percent). The Warriors forced the Celtics into 19 turnovers that translated to a staggering 33 points. 

From late in the first half to early in the fourth quarter, the Warriors massively erupted on a 43-14 run to ice the victory. The largest lead of the game for the Celtics was nine with 4:27 left in the first quarter. 

Despite getting thoroughly blown out in Game 2, the host Celtics are favored by 3.5 points over the Warriors in Game 3. This comes after the Warriors were favored by four points over the Celtics in Game 2 and easily eclipsed that mark. The Warriors are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight contests but are 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games.
