Crab Sports Sportsbook

Online Sportsbooks · Promo Codes · Crab Sports Review

A Maryland 2020 ballot referendum approved legalized sports betting bill. The bill expanded the gambling right for the Maryland constituents who already have a few casinos sprinkled throughout the state. The one area where Maryland is lacking in the legalization of sports betting is the absence of the  online presence of mobile betting. To place sports bets in Maryland you must be in an actual sports book.

That is subject to change soon. Gaming Innovation Group Inc., or GIG, has just agreed to terms with a US sports betting brand.  Crab Sports, the most perfect name for a sportsbook in Maryland, plans to be the first mobile betting platform to launch in the state once they expand the sports betting avenues in the state.

Crab Sports is in a waiting game with the expected passing of legal online sports betting to arrive either late 2022 or early in 2023. The Crab Sports name will undoubtedly resonate for sports bettors in a state where they are prideful of their crab cakes.

Crab Sports Sportsbook Promo Code

Since this has yet to launch in the state, no promotional offers have been announced. We can assume that they will roll out promotional offers throughout the year along with a welcome offer than many of the book have.  Some of the competitors will be the likes of DraftKings and FanDuel have a few different offers to engage new bettors, and we expect Crab Sports to try and beat those promotions.

A second-chance bet, deposit matches, or even some boosted bets for your first wagers all are likely by Crab Sports. Crab Sports could also roll out some bonus bet opportunities after a first wager minimum is met.  They could either require a first wager win to receive the bonus bets, or as some of their competitors do just require the bet to settle no matter the result before they release the bonus bets.

It is a lot of what ifs right now, but what is certain is that once Crab Sports goes live in Maryland, they will offer an abundance of promotions.

How to Sign Up with Crab Sports

When the inevitable does happen and Crab Sports opens its metaphorical online doors, the sign up will be relatively easy. To gamble in the United States, you must be 21 years old, and Crab Sports will also adhere to those standards. You will need to verify your personal information such as age, name, social security number, and address.

After the initial registration you may be asked to enter a promotional code if available.  After the promotional code you will most likely be asked to make a first deposit. Crab Sports will aim to make it a very easy registration and even easier to deposit money.

Crab Sports Sportsbook Mobile App Review

Again, Crab Sports is not yet live for mobile betting in Maryland but once it is, it will be available through all the app stores.  All iOS and Android devices will have the Crab Sports app capability, to make sports betting available at the palm of your hands, at home or on-the-go!

Available Leagues & Markets

We are unsure what if any exotic leagues and markets will be available, but local Maryland sports fans will have plenty of opportunities to bet on their favorite teams. Fans of the Orioles and Ravens will be able to wager on the hometown teams to make the games a little more exciting. Fans in Maryland also have a connection to the Capitals and Nationals just by proximity, and after both have won recent titles, their popularity has risen.

Leagues

While we may not know all the leagues that will be available at Crab Sports, we can make certain assumptions. The NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAB, NCAAF, Tennis, and PGA will all be leagues available for wagering. Once Crab Sports is live, they may choose to add the more exotic sports such as cricket, international soccer, and Lacrosse.

Markets

Again, nothing is certain as the GIG have yet to launch Crab Sports in Maryland, but they will have parlays, mone/moneyline-betting/ylines, spreads, totals, first half bets, second half bets, boosted odds, and even some live wagering available. A lot of the competitive sportsbook have early cash out options, and we assume that Crab Sports will keep with the trends.

Customer Service and Payment Options

Payment Options

Most of the typical payment options will be available such as e-checks, Visa debit and credit, MasterCard debit and credit, and bank wires. Crypto has also made a huge push to be the most used deposit system and we would not be surprised to see that happen on Crab Sports. We also hope to see some PayPal, Venmo, or Cashapp options. Those are the most popular money transaction apps, and many patrons will already know how to use them.

Customer Service

Customer service is always a big plus for a wagering site. We hope to see a live chat service that is 24/7 to ensure if any problems arise someone is always available to help.

Crab Sports Sportsbook FAQ

WHEN WILL MARYLAND SPORTS BETTING GO LIVE?

Maryland is already legal when it comes to sports betting.  The first retail sportsbook was BetMGM at the MGM National Harbor in Baltimore. That was the first sportsbook to open on December 9th, 2021. Governor Larry Hogan is a huge supporter of legalized sports betting and was the first person to place a wager. He bet at the MGM National Harbour on the Washington Football Team (now the Commanders) and the Baltimore Ravens to both appear in the Super Bowl.

He has long been pushing forward the mobile betting legality, but that is still a questionable timetable. We are guessing late 2022 or early 2023.

IS DRAFTKINGS LIVE IN MARYLAND?

DraftKings is currently live in Maryland, but only for DFS. You can sign up, browse lines and utilize some of the free-to-play pools from anywhere in the United States. Once Maryland starts issuing licenses for online sports betting, DraftKings is sure to apply.

IS CRAB SPORTS REPUTABLE?

Yes, all sportsbooks regulated and licensed in Maryland will use consumer protections, offer responsible gambling help, and encrypt user information.

WHAT IS THE MOST LIKELY DATE FOR CRAB SPORTS TO BE LIVE?

The exact date is not known at this time, but late 2022 to early 2023 seems to be the consensus time frame. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has been an ally for the legalization of sports betting from the beginning. Now his push is for Crab Sports to be live for week 1 of the NFL season.

Crab Sports Sportsbook Conclusion

Sports betting has been live in Maryland since early December or 2021. Seven months later Maryland is looking for an expansion of the sports betting legalization. The state has already taken over $13 million in wagers in a 7-month window, mobile betting can really increase that number.

Much of the sports betting revenue made from taxes goes towards education for the state. The quicker it becomes available on phones and tablets, ultimately the more money for Maryland to increase their education budget.

There is a ton of competition in sportsbooks that will come flocking to Maryland once it becomes legal, but with the Crab Sports name they may just have a leg up. After all, Maryland is serious about its crabs. Until next time, enjoy the ride.
