O’Malley upsets Sterling to win title at UFC 292

UFC 292 delivered a night of electrifying mixed martial arts action, highlighted by an unexpected upset in the UFC bantamweight division featuring Sean O'Malley's championship win over Aljamain Sterling.

The loss for Sterling snapped a nine-fight winning streak for the former champion and bettors riding the underdog picked up returns as high as +220 (Bet $100 to win $220) on the moneyline.

O'Malley improved to 17-1 with one no-contest in his career and looks to avenge the loss to Marlon "Chito" Vera, who also won on the UFC 292 card in Boston, Massachusetts.

The upset by O'Malley on Saturday was only one of two underdogs to cash for bettors as favorites notched a 10-2 record in the 12-fight card.

The judges kept busy as well on Saturday at TD Garden with eight of the 12 fights going to the scorecards.
