UPDATE 5: 20 P.M. ET MONDAY: As tipoff draws closer, DraftKings Sportsbook has Iowa as 2-point chalk in its Women's March Madness: LSU vs Iowa odds market. The line opened Hawkeyes -1.5 Sunday morning and went to -2 literally three minutes later, with no movement since.

Spread ticket count is 2/1 and spread money just beyond 2/1 on Caitlin Clark and Iowa. However, the moneyline is more balanced, with Iowa (-130) netting 53% of tickets/52% of money.

And no question, this Elite Eight showdown is very well-bet at DraftKings.

"Tonight's highly anticipated matchup between Iowa and LSU could be historic. This game has a chance to bring in the largest handle we have ever seen in the sport," DraftKings director of sportsbook operations Johnny Avello said. "Women's college basketball is at an all-time high and continues to grow in popularity. We could not have asked for a better matchup here and a better season overall."

DK opened the total at 169 Sunday morning, nudged to 168.5 Sunday evening and went to 168 this afternoon. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money almost 2/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET MONDAY: Five hours before tipoff, Iowa is at -2 (-115) in Caesars Sports' March Madness LSU vs. Iowa odds. The Hawkeyes opened -1.5 on Saturday.

Point-spread play is tilted toward favored Iowa, at 63% of tickets/68% of money. Moneyline action is much closer, at 54% of tickets/55% of money on Iowa.

"It's gonna be a great matchup, and we're seeing good ticket count on both sides. It's good two-way action so far," Caesars lead college basketball trader Rich Zanco said. "More of the betting public is gravitating toward Iowa on the spread. We'll probably have a little need for LSU, either to win the game or stay within that number."

Tonight's matchup could be a record-breaker for action on a women's college basketball game. Zanco is conservatively optimistic about betting on this matchup.

"It's gonna be up there all-time, as far as betting goes. Last year's championship game between these two teams was the highest. This should be close to it, definitely in the top five overall," Zanco said.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Iowa rolled over No. 5 seed Colorado in the Sweet 16, winning 89-68 Saturday. Clark has helped the Hawkeyes (32-4 SU) to nine consecutive wins.

LSU topped No. 2 seed UCLA 78-69 to advance to the Elite Eight. The Tigers (31-5 SU) are 13-1 in their last 14 games, with the only loss coming to undefeated South Carolina in the SEC Tournament championship games.

In the 2023 national championship game, LSU rolled over Iowa 102-85.

Late Sunday afternoon, BetMGM has Iowa a slim 1.5-point favorite in the Women's March Madness Elite Eight odds market. In digital wagering (mobile/online) on straight spread bets, the Hawkeyes are taking 71% of tickets/77% of money.

But when factoring in retail betting and parlays, wagering is much closer. Furthermore, on the moneyline, LSU (+105) is netting 61% of tickets/70% of money.

"So far, the action is very balanced on both sides," BetMGM trader Seamus Magee said. "I'm fully expecting this to be the most-bet women's college game we've ever had at BetMGM."

The spread and total are steady at Iowa -1.5/168.5 (Over -115). In mobile/online wagering, 76% of early bets/90% of early dollars are on the Under.

Iowa is BetMGM's largest national championship liability, while a repeat LSU title is a desired outcome behind the counter.
