2025 College Football Odds for Week 7

Michigan vs. USC Odds

  • Opening point spread: USC -2
  • Opening moneyline: Southern Cal -132/Michigan +112
  • Opening total: Over/Under 54.5 points scored
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. Saturday (NBC)

GAME DAY UPDATE: USC is -2.5 (-115) an hour before kickoff in BetMGM's Week 7 college football odds. The Trojans opened -1.5, but spent pretty much all week at various iterations of -2.5.

"It looks like we're gonna need Michigan +2.5," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said, while noting a Wolverines upset might be good, as well. "There's interest in Michigan moneyline, but Michigan outright definitely kills a bunch of parlays."

The total hit its peak of 57.5 today, after opening at 54.5. But Magee said there's not much of a decision on the total.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: As of 1:30 p.m. ET Thursday, the Trojans are laying 2.5 points in DraftKings' Week 7 college football odds. That matches Sunday's opening number, though USC had a short Sunday night stint at -1.5 (-115) and briefly got as high as -3 Monday.

Opinions are split on the spread at DK, with 57% of early bets on underdog Michigan and 64% of early money on Southern Cal. On the moneyline, though, it's 78% bets/61% cash on the visiting Wolverines.

DraftKings' total has been painted to 57.5 since late Sunday night, racing to that point after opening at 54.5 Sunday afternoon. The Over is netting 60% of bets and healthy 89% of money so far.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: More so than the spread, the total is drawing attention in Borgata Sports' college football odds Week 7 market.

"The total is where we have seen the most action early on for this game. It opened at 54.5 and was quickly bet up to 57.5," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said Monday. "The Trojans opened as 2.5-point home favorites, but the side has seen pretty balanced action early.

"There is a slight advantage in money on USC."

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Southern Cal (4-1 SU/2-3 ATS) was off in Week 6, recovering from a tough Week 5 road upset. The Trojans were 6.5-point favorites vs. Illinois, but came up short in a 34-32 loss.

Michigan is also 4-1 SU/2-3 ATS after a Week 6 win. The Wolverines spotted Wisconsin a 7-0 lead, then scored the next 24 points en route to a 24-10 win laying 17.5 points at home.

Michigan-USC opened Trojans -2 in Circa Sports' college football odds Week 7, and the number promptly went to -3, then receded to -2.5. The total is up a tick, as well, from 54.5 to 55.

GAME DAY UPDATE: As of 2:30 p.m. ET, Texas is 2.5-point chalk in BetMGM's Week 7 college football odds, on a line that's seen a lot of numbers this week. The Longhorns opened -3, and the line flipped as far as Sooners -1.5.

That happened Thursday night, when it became clear that Oklahoma QB John Mateer (hand) would start. Since then, however, the line has flipped back toward Texas, reaching the current -2.5 late this morning.

"This Oklahoma-Texas line has been everywhere," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said. "But even with the Mateer news coming out, this line has gone back through zero, and Texas is now -2.5. The public likes OU, sharps have been on Texas.

"We'd like to see Texas win this outright, and it would be nice to have Texas -2.5, as well. Oklahoma winning is the only thing we'd like to avoid right now. And I cant stress 'right now' enough. With an hour go to, we'll see some big money pour into this one."

BetMGM's total is at 44.5, where it's been since Thursday night after opening 42.5 and spending time at 43.5. Magee said there's no real need on the total.

LATE WEEK UPDATE: Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer (hand) was upgraded from questionable to probable on Thursday. And the college football Week 7 odds market reacted accordingly.

DraftKings Sportsbook flipped from Texas -1.5 (-105) to Oklahoma -1.5 flat Thursday night. And that's after opening the Longhorns -3 Sunday and dropping to -1.5 by Tuesday.

Betting splits adjusted slightly since Thursday afternoon. While still solidly in Oklahoma's favor, the numbers moved toward Texas, now getting 1.5 points. The Sooners are taking 72% of bets/67% of money on the spread.

DK's total adjusted on Thursday night, as well, from 43.5 to 44.5 (Over -115). The number opened at 42.5 Sunday. The Over is seeing 73% of bets/60% of cash, slightly down from Thursday afternoon.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: Texas is down to -1.5 (-105) in the college football odds Week 7 market at DraftKings. The Longhorns spent much of Sunday/Monday at the -3 opener, though at various juice, then went to -2.5 Monday evening and -1.5 Tuesday.

Early spread tickets and money are in the 3/1 range on short underdog Oklahoma. That's in part spurred by the possibility of Sooners QB John Mateer (hand) returning from injury this week, though he's still questionable as of 1:30 p.m. ET Thursday.

DK's total has been at 43.5 since Wednesday afternoon, climbing from a 42.5 opener. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 2/1 on the Over.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: Borgata Sports sportsbook director Tom Gable said he expects this line to toggle between Texas -3/-2.5 throughout the week. As noted in the previous update (see below), Oklahoma will likely not have QB John Mateer available Saturday.

"The injury to Mateer still looms over this game," Gable said Monday night. "Oklahoma coach Brent Venables has said he assumes Mateer won’t be able to play here. But Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian has said Texas is still planning for him anyway.

"There have been major issues with the offensive line all season for Texas, which has cost them dearly. So despite Oklahoma probably not having Mateer, we have seen some early money on the Sooners."

The total is steady at 42.5 in Borgata's Week 7 college football odds.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 6 Oklahoma (5-0 SU/3-2 ATS) had a bye in Week 5 and a breezy easy game in Week 6. The Sooners rolled over Kent State 44-0, just a field goal shy of covering a huge 46.5-point spread.

Texas (3-2 SU/1-4 ATS) has officially made its way to We're In Trouble Land. The Longhorns closed as 4.5-point favorites at Florida and lost outright 29-21. With two losses and in a tough SEC, Texas can't absorb another loss at this point.

Texas was ranked No. 9 before the Florida loss, then dropped out of the AP poll altogether afterward.

However, Circa Sports still opened Texas -3 for this neutral-site game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. That's due in no small part to Oklahoma QB John Mateer (hand) expected to miss his second straight game.

The Longhorns almost immediately dipped to -2.5, then returned to -3, where the number sits at 2:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

Circa opened the total at 42.5 in Week 7 college football odds and went to 42 in short order.

GAME DAY UPDATE: Oregon is down to 7-point home chalk an hour before kickoff in BetMGM's college football odds Week 7 market. The Ducks opened -9.5, dropped to -7.5 by Monday and went to -7 Friday.

"Sharps are all over Indiana. We opened Oregon -9.5 and we're down to a flat -7," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said. "The public, however, has been betting Oregon all week. We're gonna need Indiana +7 today. Indiana outright would also kill a lot of parlays."

The total continues to go down, though action favors the Over. BetMGM opened at 54.5, spent time at 55.5 early in the week,. fell to 53.5 by Thursday and is down to 51.5 now.

"Under 53.5 is going to be nice to have, as well."

MIDWEEK UPDATE: On Thursday morning, Oregon briefly got to -7 in DraftKings Sportsbook's college football Week 7 odds, then nudged up to -7.5 (-105). Still, that's notably off from Sunday afternoon's Ducks -9.5 opener.

Oregon is seeing 61% of early spread bets/57% of early spread money.

DraftKings' total toggled between 54.5/55.5 a few times this week and is at 54.5 (Over -118) as of 1:30 p.m. ET Thursday. The Over is taking 76% of bets/62% of money so far.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: Indiana vs. Oregon is on the move in Borgata Sports' college football odds Week 7 market.

"The Ducks opened as 9.5-point home favorites for this Big Ten matchup. But it’s been the Hoosiers taking the early money, with the spread now sitting at 7.5," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said Tuesday. "Indiana comes into this game well-rested off a bye week, after downing Iowa two weeks ago.

"But Oregon also is off a bye here, with its last game being the huge win against Penn State at State College. There is no question that Oregon has the size advantage in the trenches and probably better skill-position players, and an advantage at quarterback."

Gable noted the total is also moving early, from 54.5 to 55.5.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 3 Oregon (5-0 SU/4-1 ATS) is well-rested for this one, coming off a bye after a huge Week 5 victory. The Ducks went to Penn State as 4-point underdogs and exited with a 30-24 overtime victory. Oregon blew a 17-3 fourth-quarter lead, but still got the W.

No. 7 Indiana (5-0 SU/3-2 ATS) is also fresh for this matchup, getting a bye in Week 6. In Week 5, the Hoosiers held off Iowa 20-15, but failed to cover as 9.5-point road favorites.

Oregon opened as 10-point home chalk in Circa Sports' college football odds Week 7 market. That number adjusted to Ducks -9 within a few minutes Sunday. The total was a bigger mover out of the gate, shooting from 51.5 to 55.

GAME DAY UPDATE: With 45 minutes until kickoff, the Crimson Tide are -3.5 (-105) in BetMGM's college football Week 7 odds. Alabama opened -4 and went to -3.5 in short order Sunday, then spent all week at -3/-3 (-115). The number bumped up a half-point this morning.

In BetMGM's digital action (mobile/online), spread tickets are running 2/1 and spread money almost 3/1 on Alabama. In fact, the Crimson Tide are No. 1 in ticket count and No. 1 in money among all Top 25 teams playing today.

"It's pretty straightforward for the the book. We need the 'dog to cover. Lots of interest in 'Bama," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said.

The total is at 51.5, down from 52.5 earlier this morning, after opening 53.5 (Under -115) and spending almost all week at 51.5. Ticket count is 5/1 and money 6/1 on the Over.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: Alabama slid from -5.5 to -2.5 over the first half of the week in ESPNBET's college football odds Week 7 market. The Tide rebounded to -3.5 (+110) early Wednesday evening, and the number remained there late Wednesday.

Accounting for all bet types (straight/parlays etc.), it's all Alabama, with ticket count 4/1 and money 6/1.

ESPNBET's total is at 51.5 (Over -115), down from a 54.5 (Under -115) opener. Ticket count is 4/1 and money 2/1 on the Under, again including all bet types.

More in VegasInsider's Alabama vs. Missouri predictions.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: Borgata Sports opened Alabama as a 4-point road favorite Sunday and is down to -3 as of 8 p.m. ET Monday.

"It took a little while on Saturday for Alabama to pull away from Vanderbilt. But they finally did, and covered the spread in the process," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "Now, the Tide go on the road to Missouri.

"We've had bettors take the 4 and 3.5 with Missouri to move this to where we currently sit. Despite Missouri being undefeated, this will be its first real test."

Borgata's total is steady at 53.5.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 8 Alabama (4-1 SU and ATS) saved its spread bettors and provided a bad beat for Vanderbilt backers in Week 6. Leading 23-14 and in position to run out the clock, the Crimson Tide got a 20-yard Jam Miller touchdown run with 17 seconds remaining.

That gave the Tide a 30-14 win and cover as 12.5-point favorites.

No. 14 Missouri (5-0 SU/3-2 ATS) is fresh for this showdown, coming off a Week 6 bye. For that matter, Week 5 was something of a bye, as the Tigers drubbed MAC foe UMass 42-6. But Mizzou failed to cash as massive 44.5-point home chalk.

Circa Sports opened Alabama-Missouri at Tide -4 in college football Week 7 odds, with no early movement. But the total was on the move right out of the gate, sliding from 56 to 53. It then rebounded to 53.5/54.

GAME DAY UPDATE: As of 11:15 a.m. ET, Ohio State is laying 14.5 points in BetMGM's college football odds Week 7 market. That's where the number opened Sunday, though within a few hours it shot out to Buckeyes -16.5 (-105).

On Monday, Ohio State backed up to -15.5 (-105)/-14.5 (-115), and the line has been at some iteration of -14.5 since Monday afternoon. In BetMGM's digital action (mobile/online), the Buckeyes are getting 72% of spread tickets/78% of spread money.

"We need the 'dog to cover. Lots of interest on Ohio State to cover the spread," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said.

The total is at 51.5, reaching that high point this morning, after opening at 50.5 and bottoming out at 49.5 Tuesday. The Over is taking 64% of tickets/82% of money.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: ESPNBET has Ohio State as a 14.5-point road favorite Wednesday night. That's notably down from Sunday's Buckeyes -16.5 opener, after which the number quickly went to -14.5. The number briefly bottomed out Ohio State -13.5 (-125) Monday.

When accounting for all bet types (straight/parlays etc.), the Buckeyes are attracting 64% of spread tickets/80% of spread money.

ESPNBET's total opened at 48.5 (Over -115) and initially surged to 51.5 (Under -115). But it's since regressed and has been steady at 49.5 (Over -120) since Tuesday afternoon. The Over is getting 70% of tickets, while 63% of cash is on the Under, again accounting for all bet types.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: Ohio State hit Borgata Sports' college football Week 7 odds as 14.5-point chalk Sunday.

"Early money on Ohio State pushed this up to -15.5," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said Monday. "[Quarterback] Julian Sayin has emerged as a possible Heisman contender, with his odds now 15/1, from 25/1 at the start of the season. He is leading the country in completion percentage.

"After being embarrassed by Indiana a few weeks ago, Illinois has bounced back with two straight wins. But this will be a tough test here against the No. 1 team in the country."

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 1 Ohio State (5-0 SU/4-0-1 ATS) trailed Minnesota 3-0 midway through the first quarter. Then the Buckeyes scored the game's final 42 points – 21 in each half – in a 42-3 blowout laying 23.5 points at home.

No. 17 Illinois (5-1 SU and ATS) rebounded from its 63-10 wipeout loss at Indiana by winning its next two games. The Fighting Illini were 6.5-point home underdogs to USC and won outright 34-32 in Week 5. In Week 6, the Illini topped Purdue 43-27 laying 7.5 points at home.

Oddsmakers aren't foreseeing a close game between Ohio State and Illinois. Circa Sports opened the Buckeyes as 16.5-point road favorites at approximately 1:55 p.m. ET Sunday. However, the line quickly moved toward Illinois, going straight to Ohio State -14.5, then settling at -15.

The total opened at 50.5 and inched to 51 in the college football odds Week 7 market.
