The very short-handed Nets play on the second of a back-to-back tonight at home against the Nuggets. Denver seeks its second consecutive win as the two teams face off at Barclays Center for a 7:40 p.m. ET tip-off, which can be seen nationally on NBA TV.
Nuggets 104, Nets 100
Nets +8.5 (-110) at DraftKings
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
The Nuggets started their three-game road trip with a resounding 133-115 rout of the Hawks to pick up the season sweep of Atlanta.
Denver has now cashed the Over in 13 of the past 14 games, while going Over the total in 10 of the previous 11 contests away from Ball Arena.
However, the Nuggets have not won consecutive road games this season by posting an 0-4 mark on the highway following an away victory.
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
The Nets are totally ravaged right now as Kevin Durant and James Harden are amongst nine Brooklyn players in the COVID protocol.
Harden has missed the last four games (three due to the protocol), while Durant sat out Saturday's 100-93 home defeat to Orlando, who entered the game with a 5-25 record.
It's extremely tough to judge this Nets' team in their current state, as guard Patty Mills led Brooklyn with 23 points against Orlando in spite of hitting only 2-of-14 three-point attempts.
Even though Brooklyn is down all its top players, the Nets are still worth a strong look as this heavy of an underdog.
Denver has not won consecutive road games this season and past Nikola Jokic, there aren't a lot of great scoring options with Jamal Murray still sidelined and Michael Porter, Jr. recently lost for the season.
