PHOENIX SUNS VS. CHICAGO BULLS PREDICTIONS

After finishing 11th in the East with a record of 31-41 SU last year, Chicago stormed out to a surprisingly strong start to this season, as the Bulls opened with an impressive 26-10 SU and 22-14 ATS run – while getting tagged as underdogs in five of those SU victories.

Chicago has stalled due to health concerns recently though, considering the Bulls sit just 7-9 SU and 8-7-1 ATS across their last 16 games – with more than half of those SU losses coming in the absence of All-Star SG Zach LaVine (5).

On the other hand, Phoenix also played well to open the season, as the Suns kicked things off with a sturdy 27-8 SU and 18-17 ATS run – with 18 of those victories coming by 10+ PTS.

Phoenix has absolutely dominated as of late though, considering the Suns enter Monday riding an impressive 15-2 SU and 11-6 ATS stretch – while scoring 114.7 PPG and allowing just 104.9 PPG across that window.

I’ll back Phoenix here, as the Bulls enter Monday riding a rocky 7-9 SU skid, while surrendering 115 PPG defensively during that timeframe – presenting another favorable situation for a Suns squad that’s scored 115+ PTS nine times across their latest 15-2 SU run (114.7 PPG).

PHOENIX SUNS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 42-10
  • ATS: 29-23
  • O/U: 23-28-1

After battling Utah for the top spot in the conference all the way through the final day of last year’s regular season (51-21 SU), Phoenix was surprisingly rusty to start this season, as the Suns dropped three-of-four games out of the gate – while averaging just 106.3 PPG offensively across those contests.

Phoenix clearly just needed a few days to loosen up though, considering the Suns are now 40-6 SU and 27-19 ATS since that four-game opening skid, while ranking 3rd in the league in both scoring and offensive efficiency (112.7 PPG, 1.102 OE) – and on the flipside, ranking 6th in points allowed and 2nd in defensive efficiency (105 PPG, 1.026 DE).

CHICAGO BULLS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 33-19
  • ATS: 30-21-1
  • O/U: 28-23-1

After last year’s underwhelming 11th place finish, Chicago went out and made some aggressive acquisitions during the offseason, which resulted in this fully rejuvenated Bulls squad, as Lavine now finds himself partnered up with a stout supporting cast consisting of DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, Nikola Vucevic, Alex Caruso and other considerably talented counterparts.

The Bulls have been ravaged by health issues since mid-January though, considering Chicago enters Monday sitting at 7-9 SU in their last 16 games – while going 2-5 SU without Lavine, and 5-4 SU with Lavine during that timeframe.

The Bulls are 4-6 ATS in their last ten matchups against Phoenix. (AP)

PHOENIX SUNS VS. CHICAGO BULLS HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Suns swept a two-game regular-season set against Chicago last year, with the first matchup taking place in Chicago and staying under the total at a score of 106-97 – while the second took place in Phoenix and soared over at a score of 121-116.

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • PHO: Devin Booker - SG (25.2 PPG, 5.4 REB, 4.3 AST)
  • PHO: DeAndre Ayton - C (16.4 PPG, 10.5 REB, 0.7 BLK)
  • CHI: DeMar DeRozan - SF (26.6 PPG, 5.1 REB, 5.1 AST)
  • CHI: Nikola Vucevic - C (17.5 PPG, 11.7 REB, 3.6 AST)

PHOENIX SUNS VS. CHICAGO BULLS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting double-digit victories in three of their last five games, the Suns enter Monday’s contest as 6.5-point road favorites over the Bulls at United Center – marking the sixth time Chicago has been an underdog at home this season.

I’ll lay the points with Phoenix here, as the Suns enter Monday following SU victories in 12 of their last 13 games, while averaging 114.5 PPG offensively during that span – likely presenting a steep uphill battle for a Bulls squad that’s tallied 112 PTS or less in nine of their last 16 games.
