PHOENIX SUNS vs. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS BETTING PREDICTION

The Suns are currently favored to win the Western Conference at +250, and rightfully so, given the fact that the Nuggets, Clippers, Mavericks, and Grizzlies have all proven that they cannot be trusted, and Phoenix already teetered on the border of title contention prior to the acquisition of Kevin Durant.

In order to acquire Durant, Phoenix had to sacrifice a huge amount of depth, though, and now that Durant is set to miss a minimum of three weeks with an ankle injury, the Suns are skating on very thin ice at the moment, despite managing to beat Oklahoma City by 31 points in their first contest following KD’s incident.

In their most recent affair, Phoenix’s newfound lack of depth appeared to finally show through, as the Suns played host to Sacramento on Saturday night, and wound up running out of steam down the stretch in a 128-119 home loss.

By no means is a home loss to a solid young Kings’ team the end of the world, however, don’t expect things to get any easier for them on Monday night, as the Phoenix hits the road to face the Warriors in primetime, a squad that’s feeling good coming off a thrilling overtime win over Milwaukee.

The Warriors have certainly had their fair share of ups-and-downs as of late, currently owning an overall record of 7-7 in their last 14 games, but per usual, most of their ups have come at home, and their lows have come on the road, highlighted by Golden State posting a record of 7-1 on their home floor during that span, and 0-6 on the road.

While on the other hand, Phoenix’s discrepancy in performance based on game location is far less worrisome than Golden State’s, but likewise, the Suns also tend to play much worse on the road than they do at home.

The Suns are  21-11 in their home arena this year, and just 15-19 away from it, and that type of disparity certainly doesn’t bode well heading into Monday’s showdown against a Warriors’ squad that boasts impressive records of 28-7 SU and 23-12 ATS at home on the season.
