Betting on the Phoenix Suns

Legal sports betting is live in Arizona and the NBA’s Phoenix Suns have proven to be a popular draw. Playing in the league’s Pacific Division, natural rivalries with the four California-based teams only enhance this appeal.

Phoenix Suns Team Overview

The Suns joined the NBA as an expansion team ahead of the 1968/1969 season. This has led to a rich team history spanning more than five decades.

In just its second season, NBA great Connie Hawkins led Phoenix to the Western Division semifinals. Behind Paul Westphal, the Suns advanced all the way to the NBA Finals in 1976. This started an extended run of postseason appearances right through the 2009/2019 season.

Despite boasting a who’s who of NBA superstars such as Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd, Amar’e Stoudemire and Steve Nash, the Suns were never able to reach the pinnacle of winning a NBA Championship.

The team came close to winning it all in 1993 with a trip back to the championship series. However, that series ended with a 4-2 loss to the Chicago Bulls in the best-of-seven showdown.

Following another series loss in the 2010 Western Conference Finals, Phoenix failed to qualify for the playoffs the following season with a losing record of 40-42. This marked the start of a downward spiral that extended the postseason drought until last season

Behind Chris Paul and a strong supporting cast, the Suns won the Western Conference title in 2021. Unfortunately, the world title drought continues following the 4-2 series loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Nonetheless, Phoenix remains a very popular NBA franchise. Betting on the team mainly revolves around the NBA point spread and total line.

As an example, you could wager on Phoenix as a road underdog on the NBA point spread. If the Suns happen to be set as five-point road underdogs against the Los Angeles Lakers, they would have to win the game outright or lose by four points or less to cash a winning bet.

☀️ Betting on the Phoenix Suns in Arizona ☀️

Phoenix Suns Partnership With FanDuel Sportsbook

Adding to the convenience of betting on the Phoenix Suns, the FanDuel Footprint Center sportsbook is located in downtown Phoenix. This retail sportsbook was the first to open in an Arizona sports venue as FanDuel is partnered with the Phoenix Suns.

The FanDuel sportsbook in the arena is just one of the aspects of this sports betting partnership with the team.
