Green Bay Packers vs Las Vegas Raiders Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Pick
  • Opening moneyline: Packers -130/Packers +110
  • Opening total: Over/Under 43.5 points scored
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Monday (ABC/ESPN)

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: A few hours before kickoff, the Raiders are 2.5-point home favorites at PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. That's a flip from the opener of Packers -1.5, and Green Bay initially moved out to -2.5 a couple times early last week.

The line jumped the fence to Las Vegas -1 by Thursday, on the expectation that Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) would return and play tonight. Since then, the number has peaked at Raiders -2.5 multiple times, most recently late this morning. Also likely impacting the number: Raiders wideout Davante Adams – the former Packer – seemingly set to play after overcoming a shoulder injury.

All that noted, Green Bay is taking 61% of spread tickets/54% of spread money at PointsBet.

The total opened at 43.5, quickly got to 44.5 last Monday, went to 45 Tuesday and 45.5/46 Sunday. This morning, the total topped out at 46.5, before backing up to 45.5 this afternoon. Ticket count is almost dead even, while 60% of money is on the Under.

In the player props market, a driving factor is Adams facing his former team. The Raiders wideout is drawing the most money in the anytime touchdown market. Adams is the +105 third choice, behind -160 favorite and teammate Josh Jacobs, and Packers running back AJ Dillon (-115).

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Packers were short favorites in BetMGM's NFL odds Week 5 market. Green Bay opened -1, got to -2 for a few hours Monday, receded to -1.5 (-115), then went to -1 Wednesday.

On Thursday, the line made the modest fence-jump to Raiders -1, where it remains now. Likely contributing to that move was the expectation that QB Jimmy Garoppolo would be back under center. And indeed, this afternoon, Las Vegas announced that Garoppolo cleared concussion protocol and will start Monday night.

Still, spread ticket count is 2.5/1 and spread money 2/1 on the Packers.

The total climbed from 43.5 to 44 to 44.5 by Monday and is unchanged since. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Green Bay (2-2 SU/3-1 ATS) saw some sharp money as a short home 'dog in the Week 3 Thursday nighter. But the Packers were never in it, falling behind Detroit 27-3 by halftime of a 34-20 loss catching 2.5 points.

Las Vegas (1-3 SU and ATS) was a 6.5-point road pup against the L.A. Chargers and lost 24-17.

The SuperBook opened Packers-Raiders at pick 'em and went to Green Bay -1 tonight in the NFL odds Week 5 market.

"There's been some interest in the Packers," Degnon said. "The last game of the week will surely see good action, and I think there will be a good balance."

UPDATE 7:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Fifty minutes pre-kick, San Francisco is laying 3.5 points at TwinSpires Sportsbook. That's down a half-point from the opener of Niners -4.

San Fran is taking 70% of spread tickets, but money is almost dead even, at 52% on underdog Dallas.

"Sharp play on Dallas +4," Twinspires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said. "However, with parlay liability, we're still rooting for Dallas to win outright."

The total opened at 45.5 and has been at 45 most of the week at TwinSpires. The Over is taking 62% of tickets, while 59% of money is on the Under.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: San Fran opened as 4-point chalk in TwinSpires Sportsbook's NFL odds Week 5 market, and the Niners are down to -3.5. The 49ers are attracting 72% of early spread bets, but spread money is much closer, at 53% on San Francisco.

"This is easily the game of the week. It's attracted the most handle so far," Lucas said. "Sharp play on Cowboys +4."

The total inched down from 45.5 to 45, with 57% of tickets on the Over/59% of money on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: San Francisco (4-0 SU/3-1 ATS) hopes to maintain its status as the favorite on the Super Bowl odds board. In Week 4, the Niners had a little difficulty with Arizona, but ultimately won 35-16. San Fran got a TD with under two minutes left to cover the hefty 14.5-point spread.

Meanwhile, Dallas bounced back big after a stunning Week 3 loss at Arizona. The Cowboys (3-1 SU and ATS) hammered New England 38-3 giving 6 points at home.

The Cowboys and Niners met in the NFC divisional round last season. San Fran won 19-12 as a 3.5-point home favorite.

"We're up to Niners -4, which is where we started seeing some Cowboys bets come in," Degnon said. "Dallas will be a trendy 'dog in this one, but San Francisco always gets good action, too."

UPDATE 3:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: As kickoff approaches, Philly is a 4-point chalk at TwinSpires Sportsbook. The Eagles opened -4 and spent time at -4.5 before going back to -4. Philadelphia is getting 58% of spread tickets/64% of spread money.

"It's the first game this year that the sharp action isn't on the Eagles' opponent with us. The Rams will likely be a sizable need," Lucas said.

The total went from 49.5 to 50.5 to 50, with tickets almost 2/1 and money 2.5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: The Eagles are up a notch in TwinSpires' NFL odds Week 5 market, moving from -4 to -4.5. Philly is attracting 58% of early spread tickets/64% of early spread cash.

TwinSpires' total opened at 49.5 and is up a point to 50.5, with a stop at 50 along the way. Ticket count is almost 2/1 and money 2.5/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Philadelphia (4-0 SU/2-1-1 ATS) remained perfect on the field, but barely so. The Eagles gave up a final-seconds TD at Washington, getting forced into overtime tied at 31. Philly got away with a 34-31 victory, but failed to cover as 8.5-point home chalk.

Los Angeles (2-2 SU/3-0-1 ATS) also landed in overtime, blowing a 23-8 fourth-quarter lead at Indianapolis and ending regulation tied at 23. The Rams then won 29-23 as 1-point road favorites.

"It's been Eagles and Over so far, and I think we'll see that continue," Degnon said. "A Rams upset win will most likely be our best outcome here."

Philly remains -4.5 at The SuperBook, but the total crept up to 47 tonight.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: With kickoff approaching, Cincinnati is just a 3-point favorite in TwinSpires Sportsbook's NFL odds Week 5 market. The Bengals opened -5.

Arizona is taking 59% of spread tickets/66% of spread money.

"Bettors are out on the Bengals after another abysmal performance," TwinSpires director of retail betting Zachary Lucas said. "The Cardinals have been the trendy team to bet this year."

The total is up to 45 from a 42.5 opener, with 54% of tickets/63% of money on the Over.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Interestingly, TwinSpires' lookahead line on this game was Cincinnati -8.5. But with hobbled Joe Burrow and the Bengals struggling, the line opened Sunday night at Bengals -5 and is already down to -3.

The Cardinals, who are 3-1 ATS and could very easily have been 4-0 ATS, are getting 59% of early tickets/66% of early dollars on the spread.

TwinSpires' total is already up to 2 points to 44.5, with a stop at 43.5 along the way. The Over is drawing 54% of tickets/63% of money.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Cincinnati reached the Super Bowl two seasons ago and the AFC Championship Game last season. But the Bengals (1-3 SU/0-3-1 ATS) haven't gotten much done on the field or for bettors so far this season.

In Week 4, QB Joe Burrow was bottled up by Tennessee in the Bengals' 27-3 loss giving 2.5 points on the road.

Arizona (1-3 SU/3-1 ATS) had its three-game season-opening ATS streak halted, though just barely, at San Francisco. The Cards, 14.5-point road pups, gave up a TD with two minutes remaining in a 35-16 loss.

The first move on Bengals-Cards was toward Arizona at The SuperBook. Cincy is now at -4.5, while the total is up a half-point to 42.5.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Minnesota Vikings Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Chiefs -6.5
  • Opening moneyline: Chiefs -240/Vikings +190
  • Opening total: Over/Under 53.5 points scored
  • Time: 4:25 p.m. ET Saturday (CBS)

UPDATE 3:45 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Kansas City is down to a 3.5-point favorite at TwinSpires, after opening -5 and stopping at -4.5 and -4 along the way. The Chiefs are taking 68% of tickets, while 54% of money is on the Vikings.

"It's a Pros vs. Joes matchup. The Pros snapped up Vikings +5 right away," Lucas said. "The public is blindly betting K.C. moneyline, 7/1 tickets and 10/1 money."

The total is up a tick from 52 to 52.5, with tickets 3/1 and money 5/1 on the Over.

"Another K.C. game, another Under the book is rooting for," Lucas said.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: TwinSpires pegged the Chiefs 5-point favorites to open, and the line dipped to -4.5, then -4. Kansas City is getting 74% of early tickets, while 58% of early cash is on Minnesota.

"It's a Pros vs. Joes matchup. The Pros snapped up Vikings +5 right away. The public is all over K.C., per usual," Lucas said.

The total crept from 52 to 52.5, with tickets 3/1-plus and money almost 4/1 on the Over.

"Another K.C. game, another Under the book is rooting for," Lucas said.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Kansas City (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) got all it could handle from the New York Jets in the Week 3 Sunday nighter. The Chiefs sprinted to a 17-0 first-quarter lead, and it looked as if Taylor Swift's attendance was going to be the only thing to really discuss.

But K.C. let New York get back into it, and the game was tied at 20 early in the third quarter. The Chiefs ultimately escaped 23-20, though they failed to cash as 7.5-point road faves.

Minnesota (1-3 SU/1-2-1 ATS) finally broke through for its first win of the season. The Vikings, giving 4.5 at Carolina, earned a 21-13 victory.

"Not a ton of action yet, as this game is off the board, with the Chiefs playing [Week 4] Sunday night," Degnon said, noting Chiefs-Vikings will go back up on the board Monday morning. "I think we will write some good two-way, but I could see some liability eventually show up on the Chiefs moneyline, as well as the Over."

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET SUNDAY: TwinSpires has the Broncos as 2.5-point chalk, up from a -1.5 opener and a stop at -2. It's two-way spread play, with 56% of tickets on New York and 59% of money on Denver.

"Sharp play on Broncos -1.5 and -2," Lucas said.

TwinSpires' total is down a point to 42.5, with tickets almost 2/1 and money 2.5/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Denver opened -2.5 (-115) at BetMGM and slipped to -1.5 Monday. On Thursday, the Broncos went to -2 and -2.5, where the number sits now. Short underdog New York is actually attracting 62% of early spread tickets/61% of early spread money.

Further, on the moneyline, the Jets are netting 81% of tickets/68% of money. New York is currently +115 to Denver's -140 price at BetMGM.

The total rushed from a 40 opener to 43.5 by Monday afternoon, with multiple stops along the way. It backed up to 43 Tuesday, then returned to 43.5 Thursday. Tickets and money are approaching 3/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: New York (1-3 SU/2-2 ATS) proved a surprisingly strong challenger to defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City in the Week 4 Sunday nighter. The Jets fell into a 17-0 first-quarter hole, but rallied to tie the game at 20 early in the third quarter.

Ultimately, Zach Wilson and Co. fell 23-20, but covered catching 7.5 points at home.

Denver gave up a whopping 70 points at Miami in Week 3, then seemed determined to extend the embarrassment in Week 4 at Chicago. The Broncos dug themselves into a 28-3 third-quarter hole.

But Denver (1-3 SU/0-3-1 ATS) scored the final 24 points to claim a 31-28 victory, pushing as a 3-point favorite.

The SuperBook took Jets-Broncos off its NFL Week 5 odds board before the Chiefs-Jets game kicked off. Jets-Broncos will go back up Monday morning.

New York Giants vs Miami Dolphins Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Dolphins -9.5
  • Opening moneyline: Dolphins -450/Giants +350
  • Opening total: Over/Under 49.5 points scored
  • Time: 1 p.m. ET Sunday (FOX)

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Miami opened -9.5 at BetMGM and got as high as -13 Thursday, with several stops along the way. The Dolphins are now -12.5 and getting hammered, with 84% of spread tickets/91% of spread dollars.

BetMGM's total made its way from 49.5 to 47.5 by Thursday. It's still 47.5, though tickets and money are in the 4/1 range on the Over.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: TwinSpires waited until after New York's Week 4 Monday night debacle to open the Giants-Dolphins game. At that point, the Dolphins opened -11.5, and they've since nudged down to -11. Miami is taking 70% of spread bets/62% of spread money thus far.

TwinSpires' total opened at 50, then dipped to 49.5 and 49. The Over is netting 77% of tickets, but money is much closer, at 54% on the Over.

"Sharp play on Under 50. The Dolphins may have to put up 50 themselves to hit the Over," Lucas said.

Indeed, the Giants' offense has generally been anemic this season. New York got shut out 40-0 by Dallas in Week 1, lost 30-12 at San Francisco in Week 3 and fell 24-3 vs. Seattle in Week 4.

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET TUESDAY: As The SuperBook's Casey Degnon noted Sunday night (see below update), the odds/action on this game would be based on how the Giants looked in their Week 4 Monday night game vs. the Seahawks.

And New York looked dreadful in prime time once again, for the third time in four weeks. The Giants (1-3 SU/0-4 ATS) lost 24-3 as 2.5-point home 'dogs.

This morning, The SuperBook reacted by moving Miami out to -11, after opening -9.5 Sunday evening.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Miami was flying high after a 70-20 Week 3 beatdown of Denver. But Buffalo quickly brought the Dolphins (3-1 SU and ATS) back to earth, with Miami losing 48-20 as a 3-point road underdog.

New York (1-2 SU/0-3 ATS) still has Week 4 work to do, hosting Seattle in the Monday night game.

"There have been a couple sprinkles on Miami minus the points. But I think the majority of our action will come based on how the Giants look Monday night," Degnon said, alluding to the Seahawks-Giants game. "The Dolphins lost today, but the public is always drawn to high-flying offenses, so I don't think that will keep them off the home favorite.

"And it's another game where I expect there to be some liability on the Over by kickoff."

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: With 2.5 hours until kickoff, the Lions have receded to -8.5 (-115) at BetMGM. That matches the opener, and Detroit peaked at -10 before falling to -9.5 Friday and -8.5 (-115) this morning.

Still, it's all Lions on the spread, with tickets almost 4/1 and money almost 5/1. As was the case Friday at BetMGM (see below), the total is at 44 and still getting two-way action.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: It was steady upward movement for the Lions earlier this week in BetMGM's NFL odds Week 6 market. Detroit opened -8.5, went to -9 Monday, -9.5 Tuesday and -10 Wednesday.

This afternoon, however, the Lions crept back to -9.5. Still, ticket count is 4/1-plus and money 6/1-plus on Detroit to cover the number.

The total initially jumped from 43.5 to 45 Monday, then receded to 44 Thursday. Ticket count is almost dead even, and 57% of cash is on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Detroit has been a money train for bettors since the middle of last season. The Lions are 11-3 SU/12-2 ATS over their last 14 games.

Detroit moved to 3-1 SU and ATS this season by rolling over Green Bay in the Week 4 Thursday nighter. The Lions darted to a 27-3 halftime lead, coasting to a 34-20 victory as 2.5-point road favorites.

By contrast, Carolina is a money drain at 0-4 SU/0-3-1 ATS. In Week 4, the Panthers lost to Minnesota 21-13 catching 4.5 points at home.

UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET SUNDAY: Interestingly, the Steelers are taking the third-most spread money of any team in the NFL odds Week 5 market at BetMGM. That said, the Ravens briefly advanced from -4.5 to -5 this morning, before returning to -4.5.

Spread tickets are almost dead even, while 59% of spread cash is on Pittsburgh.

The total is up a tick from Friday to 38.5 (see below update). Action remains lopsided to the Under, with tickets 4/1 and money 9/1.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: BetMGM spent the early part of the week bouncing between Ravens -3.5 and -4. On Thursday, Baltimore climbed to -4.5, and the Ravens are now -4.5 (-105).

It's two-way spread play, with 54% of early tickets on the Ravens/58% of early money on the Steelers. Interestingly, BetMGM reports that Baltimore is the third-most-bet team by ticket count, while Pittsburgh is the third-most-bet team by money.

The total opened at 40.5 and bottomed out Tuesday at 38, with multiple stops along the way. It's still at 38, with ticket count almost 5/1 and money beyond 9/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Baltimore (3-1 SU and ATS) looks pretty good so far this season. In Week 4, the Ravens drilled Cleveland 28-3 as 1.5-point road faves.

Pittsburgh (2-2 SU and ATS) went to Houston as a 3-point chalk and got embarrassed in a 30-6 blowout loss.

UPDATE 10:45 A.M. ET SUNDAY: As was the case Friday at BetMGM (see below), Tennessee is a 2.5-point favorite. But the splits have adjusted, with Indy now getting 57% of tickets, while money is running dead even.

The Colts got star running back Jonathan Taylor signed to a new deal Saturday. It appears Taylor will play today, but that hasn't impacted the spread.

The total is up a half-point since Thursday, to 43.5. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money almost 6/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line jumped the fence a couple times already at BetMGM. Indy opened -1 and initially nudged up to -1.5 Monday. On Tuesday, the number went to Tennessee -1 briefly, then flipped to Colts -1.

On Wednesday, the line flipped again to Titans -1.5, and it advanced to Titans -2.5 Thursday. Spread ticket count is almost dead even, but spread money is running 2/1 on Tennessee.

The total opened at 41.5, went to 42.5 and 43 Monday morning, then backed up to 42.5 Monday evening. The number returned to 43 Thursday morning, with early tickets 4/1 and early cash 8/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Tennessee (2-2 SU/3-1 ATS) flipped the script in Week 4, after a 27-3 Week 3 loss at Cleveland. The Titans dumped Cincinnati by the exact same score, 27-3, cashing as 2.5-point home pups.

Indianapolis (2-2 SU and ATS) stretched the L.A. Rams to overtime with two fourth-quarter TDs. Following the second TD, the Colts' 2-point try was successful to tie the game at 23. But Indy lost 29-23 in the extra stanza.

New Orleans Saints vs New England Patriots Odds

UPDATE 10:45 A.M. ET SUNDAY: There's been a little shifting since Friday at BetMGM (see below). New England is up a tick to -1.5, while taking 59% of bets/73% of money.

The total is at 39, with 83% of bets/58% of cash on the Under.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Patriots have been at -1/-1.5 most of the week at BetMGM. But for about 24 hours, Thursday morning-Friday morning, the Saints were a 1-point road chalk.

New England is now -1 (-105) while taking 53% of early spread bets/70% of early spread dollars.

The total went from 39 Sunday to 39.5 Monday to 40 Tuesday. It then toggled between 39.5 and 39 over the past day or so, and it's now 39. The Under is getting 84% of tickets, while 58% of money is on the Over.

By ticket count, Saints-Pats is the most-bet Under at BetMGM this week.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: New England (1-3 SU and ATS) was never in it at Dallas, mainly due to allowing a fumble-return TD and interception-return TD in the first half. The Patriots lost 38-3 as 6-point road underdogs.

New Orleans (2-2 SU, 0-3-1 ATS) closed as a 4.5-point home fave against Tampa Bay and lost outright 26-9.

The Saints-Pats spread is stable tonight, but the total is down a point to 39 on The SuperBook's NFL Week 5 odds board.

Houston Texans vs Atlanta Falcons Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Falcons -3
  • Opening moneyline: Falcons -115/Texans -105
  • Opening total: Over/Under 41.5 points scored
  • Time: 1 p.m. ET Sunday (FOX)

The total nudged from 41.5 to 42 this morning, with 74% of tickets/84% of money on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Atlanta fell from -2.5 to -1 by Monday morning at BetMGM, then briefly rebounded to -2.5 Tuesday. Since then, this line has toggled between -2 and -1.5, and it's currently Falcons -1.5 (-115).

Houston is seeing 54% of spread bets, while Atlanta is taking 58% of spread cash. Early moneyline bettors are on C.J. Stroud and the Texans, at 81% of bets/77% of dollars.

BetMGM's total went from 41.5 to 41 and back to 41.5, all on Monday in the NFL odds Week 6 market. The number hasn't changed since, with 55% of bets/69% of money on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: C.J. Stroud and Houston (2-2 SU and ATS) are on a two-game SU and ATS upswing. Week 4 brought a convincing win, as the Texans – 3-point home 'dogs – thumped Pittsburgh 30-6.

Atlanta (2-2 SU/1-3 ATS) was also a 3-point Week 4 underdog, but came up a loser in London. The Falcons fell to Jacksonville 23-7.

The SuperBook backed up a tick in its NFL Week 5 odds market, lowering the Falcons to -2.5 tonight.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Buffalo Bills Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Bills -4.5
  • Opening moneyline: Bills -250/Jaguars +200
  • Opening total: Over/Under 48.5 points scored
  • Time: 9:30 a.m. ET Sunday (NFL Network)

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Buffalo hasn't moved off -5.5 at TwinSpires, but early bettors are on the favorite. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 2.5/1 Bills for this neutral-site contest in London.

"Majority of tickets/money coming in on the Bills. Buffalo is especially popular after that blowout win vs. the Dolphins," Lucas said.

The total toggled from 48.5 to 48, then returned to 48.5. Early ticket count is 2/1 and early money 4/1 on the Over.

"No doubt, we'll need the Under in this game," Lucas said.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Miami was all the rage after pinning a 70-burger on Denver in Week 3. Buffalo apparently had enough of the hype, plowing to a 48-20 victory as a 3-point home chalk against the Dolphins.

After a stunning Week 1 loss to the Jets, the Bills (3-1 SU and ATS) have won and cashed three in a row. Now, Josh Allen & Co. travel to London in Week 5.

Jacksonville remains in London for a second straight week. The Jaguars (2-2 SU and ATS) coasted to a 23-7 Week 4 victory laying 3.5 points against Atlanta.

"We've written some smaller Buffalo tickets, but nothing of note," Degnon said. "I think both sides will draw some action, although I do anticipate we'll need the Jags come Sunday morning. Not much interest in the total yet, but I could see the public getting involved with the Over."

Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Commanders -6
  • Opening moneyline: Commanders -310/Bears +250
  • Opening total: Over/Under 45 points scored
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Thursday (Prime)

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Washington is actually shortening as a favorite this afternoon at PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. The Commanders opened -5.5 Sunday and touched -7 a couple times Monday. But the number has spent much of the past day-plus toggling between Washington -6/-5.5, and it's currently -5.5 (-115).

Spread tickets and spread money are in the 2/1 range on the Commanders. However, Chicago is getting significantly more play on the moneyline, currently +220. Bettors seem to think the Bears are due to get their first W in nearly a year. Chicago's last victory came Oct. 24, 2022, in a 33-14 decision at New England.

With that Chicago moneyline liability, the book is rooting for a Commanders win/Bears cover.

"Given the passion of Bears fans and the team being a clear underdog in pursuit of its first victory in 346 days, the liability sits with Chicago in this prime-time tilt," PointsBet trader Ethan Useloff said.

PointsBet opened the total at 43.5, topped out at 45.5 Monday and spent most of the week bouncing between 44.5 and 44. The total is currently 44.5, with 58% of bets/62% of money on the Over.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: TwinSpires Sportsbook opened the Commanders -6.5 and is down to -6 for the opening game on the NFL Week 5 odds board. Washington is seeing 64% of early spread tickets, while 55% of early spread cash is on Chicago.

"We saw some sharp play on Bears +6.5," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total inched from 44.5 to 44, with 53% of tickets/62% of money on the Under.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Both these teams were in good position to post big Week 4 upsets. Neither could seal the deal.

Chicago (0-4 SU/0-3-1 ATS) blew an especially good opportunity to notch its first win of the season. The Bears led Denver 28-7 late in the third quarter, then gave it all back. Chicago allowed the final 24 points of the game, losing 31-28 while pushing as a 3-point home 'dog.

Meanwhile, Washington (2-2 SU and ATS) led Philadelphia 17-7 in the second quarter and gave the Eagles a game the whole way. The Commanders, 8.5-point road 'dogs, got a final-seconds TD to forge a 31-31 tie and force overtime, but lost 34-31 in the extra frame.

There's no spread movement yet in The SuperBook's NFL odds Week 5 market. But the number could be heading north.

"So far, it's been one-way traffic on Washington. Not surprising, with how the Bears have looked through four weeks," SuperBook senior risk supervisor Casey Degnon said. "I expect we'll need the Bears to cover Thursday night and hopefully win outright, to kill the moneyline parlays and teasers before they even get to the weekend."

The total briefly nudged down to 44.5 tonight, before returning to the 45 opener.
