Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans Predictions

The Texans and Rams are two teams coming into this game with completely different trajectories. The Rams are fighting for a Super Bowl this season and are definitely one of the best teams in the NFL. The Texans are in the midst of a fire sale, and it’s looking like multiple starters could be traded over the last couple weeks.

While it’s quite obvious that the Rams are the better team here, this is quite the large number. Considering the fact that the Texans are in the midst of trading away multiple starters, including Mark Ingram, I’m not very interested. Whenever Tyrod Taylor does come back to this team I’ll be more interested but for now, let’s leave the Texans alone.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 6-1
  • ATS: 4-3
  • O/U: 4-2-1
  • ATS - Home: 2-2
  • ATS - Away: 2-1

Matthew Stafford is one of the lead candidates for MVP this season - for good reason. He was very popular before the season and has definitely lived up to expectation, and it's clear the move from the Lions was much needed. Additionally, he's surrounded by the very talented players with Henderson, Kupp, and Wood scaring opposing defenses.

This defense, led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey is one of the best in the league. When you have two top players at two separate positions, you're obviously going to cause problems. The amount of depth this team has surprised me this season. The Texans should be trailing for a majority of this game, and it's going to be incredibly hard for them to claw themselves back into this one.

Houston Texans Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 1-6
  • ATS: 3-4
  • O/U: 3-4
  • ATS - Home: 2-1
  • ATS - Away: 1-3

You know you have a problem when the biggest stories about your team don't even relate to the football field. All I've heard this week is about Brandin Cooks, their best offensive player, expressing his frustration on twitter about Mark Ingram being traded. This offense should once again be led by Davis Mills, which is not good news, and means they will likely struggle to move the ball on offense. David Johnson and Phillip Lindsay should see an increased workload without Ingram, but this offense won't get better until Tyrod returns.

Darrell Henderson, Jr. should be in store for a huge game. Name a running back the Texans have faced and they probably had a great game. While this secondary is also weak, this run defense is matching last year's historic weakness against the run game. I'm not worried about the Texans defense, it's going to be a tough rest of the season for this unit. <.p>

Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans Betting Conclusion

In terms of props here, Cooper Kupp and Henderson are the guys you go to. Like I said this before, this Texas defense is absolutely terrible and the Rams like to run the scoreboard up against these teams. This team is very concentrated in terms of who scores those points and Kupp, Henderson, and Woods are the three guys that are going to eat.
