After finishing last in the AFC West with a record of 5-11 last year, Denver stormed out to a surprisingly strong start to the new season, as the Broncos kicked things off with wins in three straight games – which included victories over somewhat weaker opponents in the Giants, Jaguars, and Jets.

The Broncos have been very inconsistent since their 3-0 start though, considering Denver enters Sunday’s contest following losses in five of the last eight games – with three of those losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

On the other hand, Kansas City stumbled out to a relatively pedestrian start to the new season, as the Chiefs closed October with a head-scratching 3-5 run – with their only victories across that span coming against the Browns, Eagles, and Washington.

The Chiefs quickly turned things around in November though, considering Kansas City enters this Sunday’s contest riding a four-game winning streak – which consists of solid victories over the Packers, Giants, Raiders, and Cowboys.

I’ll lay the points with Kansas City here, as the Broncos’ offense has averaged just 19 PPG on 282.5 YPG since Week 4 – while the Chiefs’ defense has surrendered 20 PTS or less in five of the last six games (14.5 PPG).

The Chiefs enter Sunday night’s contest favored by roughly ten points over the visiting Broncos, which marks the fourth straight game Denver has been an underdog in.

Denver’s initial success was extremely short-lived though, as the Broncos inevitably drew a few tougher matchups across Weeks 4 through 7 – which resulted in relatively non-competitive losses to the Ravens, Browns, Raiders, and Steelers.

The Broncos have played solid football since their four-game losing streak though, considering Denver enters Sunday’s contest following wins in three of the last four games, which includes victories over the Cowboys, Chargers, and Washington – and a blowout loss to the Eagles (L, 30-13).

Kansas City finally appears to be back in the swing of things though, considering the Chiefs enter Sunday night’s contest riding a four-game winning streak – with half of those victories coming by double-digits.
