San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Predictions

After finishing last in the NFC West last year with a record of 6-10, San Francisco stumbled out to a slow start to this season, as the Niners kicked things off with losses in four of six games – with their only victories across that window coming against the Lions and Eagles.

The Niners have completely turned things around since their 2-4 start though, as San Francisco enters Sunday’s contest following wins in four of their first five games – which includes solid victories over the Rams, Vikings, and Bears.

On the other hand, Seattle posted a somewhat pedestrian start to the new season, as the Seahawks opened the year with an even 2-2 split – which included losses to the Vikings and Titans, and victories over the Colts and Niners.

Seattle has looked awful since starting 2-2 though, considering the Seahawks enter Sunday’s contest following losses in six of the last seven games – with their only victory across that timeframe coming against the Jaguars.

I’ll lay the points with San Francisco here, as the Niners have scored 30 PTS or more in four of their last five games (29 PPG) – while the Seahawks have scored 15 PTS or less in four out of their last five (13.8 PPG).

The Niners enter Sunday’s contest favored by roughly a field goal over the Seahawks at Lumen Field, which marks the third straight game San Francisco has been favored in.

The total for Sunday’s matchup is currently stationed near OU 45 at most shops – marking the lowest bar set for a Niners’ game since visiting Chicago on Halloween.

After falling a field goal shy of winning a third straight game to start the season (L, 30-28), San Francisco drew another tough matchup against the Seahawks in Week 4 – and that’s when things noticeably took a downward turn, as QB Jimmy Garoppolo exited with a calf injury and turned over the keys to rookie Trey Lance for the remainder of the Niners’ second straight loss.

The majority wasn’t overly concerned about San Francisco as November approached though, considering San Francisco entered the month sitting at 3-5 and played two-and-a-half games with their backup quarterback.

The majority’s lack of concern was seemingly warranted too, as San Francisco enters Week 13 riding a three-game winning streak, and now sits in third place in the NFC West at a tally of 6-5.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Analysis

After posting a pedestrian 2-2 start to the year, Seattle quickly became one of toughest teams to evaluate in the league, as the Seahawks entered Week 5 as a slim 2.5-point underdog against a red-hot Rams squad – which resulted in their third loss of the year, and an injured starting QB in Wilson.

Since Wilson’s finger injury though, Seattle has completely fallen off the league’s radar, considering the Seahawks enter Sunday following losses in six of the last seven games – despite being favored in nearly half of those affairs.
