The 10-1 (7-4 ATS) Winnipeg Blue Bombers head to Saskatchewan to face the 6-5 (6-5 ATS) Roughriders in a West Division matchup with playoff implications. The first place Bombers are giving 3 ½ and are -165 on the money line. The third place Riders are +145 without the points and the total is set at 44 ½.

Why Should You Care?

Any time you have a possible playoff preview late in the season you know it’ll be a great game. When you add the fact that FanDuel is going to load your account with $150 in FREE Bets once you wager $5, and you don’t even need a promo code, well the day just keeps getting better. The Bombers are leading the league in wins, but the West Division is still up for grabs.

They have a 1 ½ game lead on BC and the Riders are in fourth trailing Calgary by half a game. CFL rules allow for a “crossover” for playoff participation. Normally, three teams from each division make the playoffs. If the fourth-place team from one division has a better record than the third-place team in the other division, they become the team that fills that last playoff spot. Right now, that’s where Saskatchewan sits.

Can Winnipeg Continue Adding To Its League Leading Win Total?

It’s been a tough couple of games for the Bombers. They lost for the first time this year, 20-17 to the Als a couple back, and in the last game they held off Calgary 31-29. Those contests also snapped a five-game winning streak against the spread. Winnipeg is averaging 24 points a game for the season but in the last four, they’ve scored 31 or more three times. On the road, it’s 35 or more in three of four and ATS wins in five of six this year.

Allowing 19 points a game will get you a lot of wins and also leads the CFL. Part of that success is holding teams to a 64% completion rate and only 12 touchdown passes in 11 games. They have allowed 20 or more in four straight overall and four of the last five on the road.

Are The Rough Riders Running Out Of Time In Their Playoff Push?

Teams in the East Division are so bad that it’s possible their top team will have more losses than wins. That is opening up a chance that four of the teams from the West will make the playoffs. It also puts Saskatchewan in a position where every game going forward is very important.

That’s going to be a weekly challenge since they’re at the bottom of the league’s list for average passing yards a game. They’ve scored 24 or less in five of the last six and it’s worse at home. They’re 0-3 ATS in the last three at Riders Field and scored 21 then 17 and last game just 10 points.

Defensively, they have a lot of sacks and are allowing just 82 yards a game on the ground. Last week against BC they only allowed 16 but gave up 28 or more in four of the previous five. In those last three losses at home, the opponents totaled 91 points.
