Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Ottawa RedBlacks

Score Prediction: Hamilton 30, Ottawa 16

The Tiger-Cats have won three of their last four games straight-up with a 3-0-1 record against the spread. They knocked off Calgary 23-17 last Friday as two-point home favorites. Ottawa’s losing streak reached four games (SU and ATS) after an opening day win at Edmonton.

David Watford threw for 149 yards and ran for 35 more yards against Calgary with Dane Evans injured as Hamilton’s starting quarterback.

The Tiger-Cats gained 116 yards on the ground in that game. All their scoring came on five field goals and an interception for a touchdown. Ottawa has been outscored 96-42 in its last two outings.

Hamilton is 10-4-1 ATS in its last 15 games overall. It has a 4-2 record ATS in its last six road games against Ottawa. The RedBlacks have failed to cover ATS in six of their last seven games played at home.

Montreal Alouettes at Toronto Argonauts

Score Prediction: Toronto 24, Montreal 18

Toronto kept its streak alive of losing SU after a win as part of an even 3-3 SU (2-3-1 ATS) record through six games. This points to a SU win at home this week. With last week’s 27-18 loss to B.C. as a three-point home favorite, Montreal has dropped three of its last four games SU and ATS.

Nick Arbuckle continues to get the start at quarterback for Toronto. He threw for 309 yards with a pair of touchdowns with an interception in last week’s 30-16 loss to Saskatchewan.

Montreal’s Vernon Adams passed for 270 yards and ran for 44 more in the losing cause against B.C. last week. Running back William Stanback carried the ball 18 times for 139 yards rushing in that game.

Montreal has lost four of its last five road games against Toronto both SU and ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in eight of the last 10 meetings in Toronto between these two East Division rivals. The total has stayed UNDER in six of the Argonauts last nine games overall.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at B.C. Lions

Score Prediction: B.C. 21, Saskatchewan 19

Both teams needs a win to keep pace with the leader in their respective divisions. The game opened as PICK to show just how close they matchup against one another. BC is coming off back-to-back routs of Ottawa while Montreal has been idle since Sept. 3.

Both Saskatchewan and BC are 4-2 SU and a game and half behind Winnipeg for first place in the West Division. The Roughriders won the first meeting at home 33-29 on Aug. 6 with the total going OVER the closing 47-point line.

Cody Fajardo passed for 212 yards and two touchdowns while William Powell added 122 yards on the ground in 21 rushing attempts in Saskatchewan’s win over Toronto.

B.C. got a solid effort from Mike Reilly in the win at Montreal with 308 yards passing and a pair of touchdown throws.

Look for B.C. to even the score at home on Friday night in a tight matchup that stays just UNDER the current total line. The total has stayed UNDER in 15 of the last 20 meetings between these two division rivals in B.C.

Mike Reilly leads B.C. against Saskatchewan in an important Western division battle. (AP)
