The Buckeyes have been opened as -3.5-point home favorites for Tuesday’s matchup. The total line for the game is set at 139.5 points.

Purdue has strung together a three-game winning streak both straight-up and against the spread. It is now 5-3 SU (3-4-1 ATS) in Big Ten play with the total going OVER in four of its last six games.

The Boilermakers won the first meeting in this season’s series 67-60 in a PUSH at home. They are now 5-2 SU in their last seven games against Ohio State. Yet, they are just 3-14 SU in their last 14 road games against the Buckeyes.

The junior forward has combined for 35 points and 21 rebounds in his last two starts. He leads the team in scoring on the year with 15.3 points while averaging 9.7 rebounds a game.

Guard Eric Hunter is averaging 10.7 points per game while adding a team-high 3.6 assists. The Boilermakers are putting up 71.7 PPG and shooting 45.3% from the field.

This number drops to 35.7% from three-point range. Along with a total of 37.4 rebounds a game (31.1 on defense), Purdue is holding opposing teams to 66.8 PPG.

Guard C.J. Walker (8.7 points and 4.2 assists) remains questionable for Tuesday night with a thumb injury.

Ohio State has a scoring average of 77.6 points with 38.1 rebounds a game. It is shooting 45.1% from the field and 34.1% from three-point range.

Purdue-Ohio State Predictions

This series has remained tight over the past several seasons with Purdue holding the slight 6-4 SU (5-4-1 ATS) edge over the last 10 meetings. Purdue winning by seven at home on Dec. 16 sets the stage for the Buckeyes to return the favor on their home court.

The game should remain close for the entire 40 minutes but I am taking Ohio State to cover this time.

I'm also going with the UNDER on the total line. The two teams only combined for 127 points in the first meeting against a 133-point closing line. Scoring should remain tight enough to keep the total UNDER the line for this game as well.
