2020 Air Force Falcons Football Betting Predictions

Air Force Falcons Betting Odds & Forecast

2020 Air Force Win Total Odds

Air Force 2020 wins: Over 8 (-110) or Under 8 (-110)

This year brings a coin flip price on Win Totals Odds and whether or not Air Force can get back to at least nine wins this year, as they'd love to be the ones playing for a conference championship at the end of the year this time around. The Falcons arguably “best” opponent comes to town in Week 2 when Air Force hosts Boise State, and they do get to host Navy in that rematch this season.

2020 Air Force Falcons Schedule

  • Week 1 - Sept. 5 vs. Duquesne
  • Week 2 - Sept. 12 vs Boise State
  • Week 3 - Sept. 19 at Purdue
  • Week 4 - Sept. 26 at Fresno State
  • Week 5 - Oct. 3 vs. Navy
  • Week 6 - Oct. 10 at San Jose State
  • Week 7 - Oct. 17 vs. Hawaii
  • Week 8 - Oct. 24 at Wyoming
  • Week 10 - Nov. 7 at Army
  • Week 11 - Nov. 14 vs. Colorado State
  • Week 12 - Nov. 21 vs. New Mexico
  • Week 13 - Nov. 28 at Utah State

Get by some tough road dates against the likes of Purdue, Fresno State, Wyoming, and Utah State, and nine or 10 wins is definitely possible. After all, the Falcons finished 11-2 SU last year with a -2 turnover differential when all was said and done. Take better care of the ball each and every week, and a duplicate type of season is out there for the 2020 Air Force Falcons.

2020 Air Force Game of the Year Odds

Only the two rivalry games with the other service academies (Navy, Army) are available with Game of the Year Odds for Air Force futures, and the Falcons are slight favorites to win both. The home date with Navy is about as close to a straight pick'em as it gets, but it is slightly shaded towards the Falcons at home, while Air Force is sitting as a -3.5 road favorite for their trip to face Army this year.

The Falcons have not won the Commander-in-Chief trophy since 2016 which was the last time they swept both of their service academy rivals. They are slight favorites to be in that position again in 2020 and that would be another piece of hardware they'd love to get their hands on this year.

Air Force Odds to win Mountain West Championship

Yes (+450)

You know expectations are high for Air Force this year when they only trail perennial powerhouse Boise State in the Conference Future Odds to win the Mountain West this year. The Broncos were the only conference foe to knock off Air Force last year, and despite Boise being a significant favorite to win the Mountain West again (-167), big things are expected of the Falcons this year. If you believe they will improve in multiple fashions and earn another year of double digit wins, this would be the future I'd be inclined to take a shot with.

Air Force Odds to Make 2020-21 College Football Playoff

Yes (+5000)

It would be one of the stories of the year if Air Force or any service academy team made the CFB Playoff, but it just won't happen. Even with an undefeated record, Air Force's isn't likely get there as their biggest win would be over Boise State, a program that hasn't always gotten the overall respect it's deserved in the past. This is a future wager to strictly keep in your dreams if you dream of seeing those feel good stories in sports. Because in reality, this just won't happen.

Air Force Odds to Win 2020-21 College Football Playoff

Yes (+100000)

Again, no need to significantly give this prop time, as it's just got no shot of cashing. And even if you are the optimist of optimists regarding the 2020 prospects for this Air Force football team, let them run the table first to see if they get national consideration (they won't). But if they get in, they'll still be quite large underdogs and you'll at least know they've got a fighting chance then.

Air Force Falcons – Postseason Forecast

Another Bowl appearance somewhere should be in store for this highly talented Air Force football team, but it's going to be one of those ones in similar stature to last year's Cheez-It Bowl. A nice 8-9 win campaign without playing for or having a conference championship is the likely mirrored ending for the Falcons, as 2020 looks quite similar to 2019.

Air Force Falcons Season Prediction

2020 may look similar to the glories that 2019 brought to this Air Force program, but sadly, this program has never had a history of backing up one great season with another one. As a program, Air Force has won double digit games eight different times since 1983, and only followed up those campaigns with more then 8 wins only once (1997-98).

It's highly probable that there will be some sort of step back for the Falcons this year which makes most of their futures highly unplayable. Eight wins is the perfect number that should be set for the 2020 Falcons, and we will see how they stack up against it in the end.

However, of all the futures out there on Air Force for 2020, supposing they do stay at the same level of 2019 or improve, winning the Mountain West at +450 is the place where I'd start doing some more serious digging.

Falcons 2019 Betting Recap

2019 couldn't have really gone any better for the Air Force Falcons, as they finished the year with a 11-2 SU record after a win over Washington State in the Cheez-It Bowl. A 10-2 SU regular season was one of the Flacons best effort, as only Boise State and their rivals from Navy were able to get the better of Air Force.

Dec 27 Washington State Cougars   -2.5 71.5 Won 31 - 21   Win / Under

There aren't really many surprises when facing a triple-option team like the Falcons, so seasons like that where they go through nearly everything aren't exactly all that common. The Falcons could score points up on anyone though – scored 30 or more points in nine of their 11 wins – and that's always going to help out tremendously in the win/loss column. The 2020 Air Force team definitely has some big shoes to fill though.
