New York Giants vs. New Orleans Saints Predictions

The post-Drew Brees has seen some ups and downs early, as the Saints are 2-1 and tied for second place in the NFC South along with the Buccaneers.

Although the Giants haven't taken off with quarterback Daniel Jones, New York has been competitive in the last two games as they try to stay alive in the mediocre NFC East race.

There will be a lot of emotion in the Superdome for the Saints' home opener, but New Orleans' worst performance this season came as a favorite in a loss at Carolina.

It's been another rough start for head coach Joe Judge and Big Blue at 0-3. Last season, the Giants began 0-5 before picking up their first victory, as New York tries to turn things around following back-to-back losses in the final seconds.

After getting routed by the Broncos in the season opener, the Giants blew a pair of six-point leads in the fourth quarter of a 30-29 defeat at Washington. New York led Atlanta, 14-7 in the fourth in last week's home matchup before falling to the Falcons, 17-14 on a last-second field goal.

New York managed to cover at Washington, improving to 7-1 ATS as a road underdog since 2020.

It took until October, but the Saints are finally playing a game in the Big Easy. Hurricane Ida forced New Orleans out of the area for the season opener against Green Bay, but the Saints didn't skip a beat by routing the Packers, 38-3 in Jacksonville.

Jameis Winston tossed five touchdowns in the opener, but took a step back in a Week 2 blowout loss at Carolina by getting intercepted twice in a 26-7 setback. New Orleans rebounded last week by cruising past New England as short underdogs, 28-13, marking the Saints' third Under in three weeks.

In 2020, the Saints posted a 5-4 ATS mark in the favorite role at the Superdome, while winning seven of those nine games, as the two defeats came to Green Bay and Tampa Bay, which occurred in the NFC divisional playoff round.

The New Orleans Saints have won 15 straight games when playing in October. (AP)
