TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS vs. BOSTON BRUINS PREDICTIONS

The Maple Leafs and Bruins head into this Atlantic Division showdown with exactly 87 points each through 65 games played, while sitting one point behind the second-place Tampa Bay Lightning. The teams will not only be focused on each other, but they'll be watching the scoreboard, as Tampa Bay is hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at Amalie Arena in an important game, too.

First things, first, though. The Leafs are coming off an impressive and dominant 5-2 victory over the first-place Florida Panthers on Sunday. It was a stark contrast to Saturday's 4-2 loss at Montreal against the last-place and playoff-eliminated Canadiens. The addition of Hampus Lindholm from the Anaheim Ducks at the NHL trade deadline was a huge boon to the blueline, and he also adds some size and sandpaper, too. In fact, the B's beat out the Leafs, who were also bidders for his services. The Bruins have dominated the Leafs in recent seasons, and especially in the postseason, and until Toronto shows it can win in Boston, keep backing the B's.
