It’s an East Division matchup with the 2-5 Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-5 ATS) heading to Toronto to play the first-place 3-3 Argonauts (3-3 ATS). The home team is -2 and -120 on the money line, while it’s +100 if you think Hamilton can win on the field. The total is pegged at 45.5 and is -105 for the over and -115 for the under.

Why Should You Care?

How much stress is there in the last three minutes of a Canadian Football game? The ball can go back and forth four or five times. Knowing that your wager is covered by that BetMGM Risk-FREE bet can take all the stress out of that play.

This is as important of a game as you can have this early in the season. If the Cats win, they’re right back in playoff contention, while if they lose, the Argos can grab a solid hold of the weakest division in this year’s CFL season.

Can Hamilton Finally Win A Road Game?

Although they’re 0-3 away from home so far this season, Hamilton won a few times on the road last year including the last game these two played. This year that’s not been the case. Part of the Tiger-Cats' issues away from Tim Hortons Field is that they’re not scoring points. In four of their last five on the road, they’ve scored 13 points or less. Coming from a team that’s barely averaging 16 a game so far this year, even those numbers are low.

Part of this team’s woes is the fact that Dane Evans has as many interceptions as he does touchdowns with nine each. They’re one of the worst teams in the league rushing the ball, averaging 4.4 yards a touch and having only scored three times on the ground.

If only the Hamilton defense could kick it up a notch. This team is only allowing opponent’s QBs a 64% completion rate, but other than that, their defensive stats are middle of the pack in the CFL standings.

Will Toronto Pad Its Lead In The Pitiful East?

A team that’s 3-3 is in sole possession of the top spot. That should tell you all you need to know about the type of division the east is this year. They’ve won as many as they’ve lost, and that’s with only scoring 16 points a game. Part of that lack of scoring is their rushing game, which makes tonight’s opponents look solid. This team hasn’t even scored a TD on the ground yet this season. Getting only 4.3 yards a rush has a little to do with that.

When the other team has the ball, they’re completing over 72% of their passes against the Argos. That’s part of the reason this team is giving up over 25 points a contest. They score 18, allow 25, and are still in first place. That’ll get you shaking your head if you’re a fan of any other team in that East Division.

These two teams don’t score, and both give up 25 points a game. Toronto has at least been consistently allowing between 21 and 23 points in their last four. In its last three road trips, Hamilton has come away with a total of 37 points. You won’t win many road games when you aren’t scoring more than 13 points.

Thanks to BetMGM, no matter what happens in this one, you’ll be covered for up to $1,000 when you open your account using the VIBONUS promo code. That’ll make it easier to bet the Under here. Betting unders are painful to watch, but when they win, those tickets cash just the same.
