It would have taken a pretty big cake to celebrate both country's birthdays during week 4 in the CFL!

Festivities were in order in Canada on Friday as our Northern neighbors celebrated Dominion Day. Called Canada Day as well, it’s the date marking their beginning in 1867. They also were kind enough to schedule a rare Monday night game this 4th of July.

What A Nice Gift From The CFL!

We’re also getting a nice gift from Caesars. It’s a $1,500 risk FREE bet! Simply use the bonus code VIMAXSPORT15 when you make your initial deposit. This offer is only available for US-based sports bettors. That’s a rack and a half, one thousand five hundred dollars and will cover the bill for a pretty decent sized holiday picnic.

Winnipeg, the guest on our independence day broadcast is 3-0. (2-1 ATS) Tie breakers have them 3rd in the West where three of the members remain undefeated. The Toronto Argonauts come in the week 1-1 (0-2 ATS) and atop in the East. That division heads into this one a combined 2-10.

It’s another weekend home dog at +165 with the point spread set at 4.5. (-110 either way) They’ll need to score more than 42.5 for the over to hit and both options are -110.

Are The Visitors A Legitimate 3-0?

That’s not the case on offence. The Blue Bombers are only putting 256 yards passing per game. Running backs are getting less than 4 yards a touch and Zach Collaros has just 3 TDs while giving up 2 picks. They have scored at least 19 points in the first three games.

Part of that undefeated is credited to a defence that’s averaging less than 14 points a contest. Big Blue’s D has also recorded 5 sacks and 3 interceptions. Opponents play callers are completing 66% of their passes and that’s close to tops in the league.

Will Toronto Cover The Number?

Since they’ve only played twice, there’s not as much to look out with these Argonauts. Mcleod Bethel- Thompson is throwing for a league low game average of 236 yards. When he hands it off it’s getting them another bottom of the list stat of 33 yards a game.

Last week, against BC they had a lone FG and gave up 44. Thankfully for them, Nathan Rourke has already played this weekend. On defence, the other teams are completing 74% of their attempts and they’re allowing 31.5 points ppg. They only have 1 pick and just 4 sacks.

Where Are You Laying That Risk-Free $1,500 From Caesars?

Winnipeg doesn’t allow many points. They’ve allowed 17 or less going back to last year in 5 of 6. They all were Unders, and they’ve covered the spread in their last two road games.

Last season the Argonauts were dropping 30 on teams but they’ve only put up 9 total points in the 2nd Half this year. They’ve allowed points after the break in the past and may not be able to score enough to cover giving those up.

First thing you do Monday is check out what Reno Jonny likes in the hot dog eating contest. Then, take the Under in this matchup, play Winnipeg on the ML, (a fraction on the 4.5 if you like) parlay the two for a small piece as well and have a Safe and Happy Holiday weekend!
