2021 Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Odds, Predictions, Preview
While having six players taken in the first round is normally a crippling blow, but for Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide, that's just another year. The reigning champions have lost six starters in the first round but now have 'the cream of the crop' in terms of five-star recruits to step in and contribute immediately.
Their win total is currently 11.5 at +100, meaning you’re going to need another perfect regular season to cash that ticket. My preseason best bet would have to be Bryce Young +1000 for the Heisman trophy. After going into Gator Nation and securing a win in week 3 on national television this number won't be higher than +500 for the rest of the season, giving us some great line value. Young will walk straight into the dream scenario with a top 10 offensive line, top 10 defense, and a multitude of talented offensive playmakers around him.
Preseason Best Bet: Bryce Young to Win Heisman +650

Alabama Odds to win 2021 SEC Championship
The defending champions are currently the favorites to repeat and win their second SEC championship in a row. They have won five of the last seven SEC titles, including last year's 52-46 win against Florida.
Georgia and Texas A&M come second and third in terms of betting odds, Alabama will only have to face A&M during the regular season meaning they dodge the biggest competition for the title. If you’re a believer in Bryce Young, like I am, then this is looking like a great bet.
If you still have questions then you should be able to get some reasonable lines during the regular season, this isn't a must-bet this early in the offseason.
Alabama Odds to Win 2021-22 College Football Playoff
With most books having a line around +300, this is a number that I'm absolutely fading. I believe in the Crimson Tide and they are favorites for a reason, but laying such a small number on a season-long future isn't something I'm interested in. Alabama will face many tough challenges this year with Florida and Texas A&M on the road, if they lose either of those games or even look a bit shaky then your preseason future might not even be better than the number available in a week eight.
If Alabama coasts through this season and looks like the best team in Football, there is still a great likelihood you can get +150 much closer to the championship with more confidence. Overall, I love Alabama but it's all about the numbers, way too much uncertainty this early in the preseason.
Alabama 2021 Heisman Contenders & Odds
Bryce Young +650
Brian Robinson, Jr. +4000
Jase McClellan +6600
John Metchie +6600
Since 2000, 16 of the 20 winners have been QB’s with three of the four exceptions being Alabama alumni. DeVonta Smith won it last year as the only receiver on the list, Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry won as running backs. Alabama historically isn't known for producing NFL quarterback talent but they have worked hard to break that curse recently with the first-round draft picks Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa.
Jase McClellan is an extremely talented running back who carved out a solid role for himself last season with some limited work and special teams duties, he has lots of promise but it's an incredibly steep hill for a running back to climb.
John Metchie should see a huge volume uptick considering both of Alabama's key receivers were taken in the first round of last year's draft, the young shifty receiver should have lots of opportunities to make a name for himself.
Overall going with a quarterback would be the safest bet, while Alabama has been known to be the exception to the rule it's hard to see a skill position player winning twice in a row.
