BOSTON BRUINS vs. ST. LOUIS BLUES PREDICTIONS

The Bruins currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division with 97 points with seven games remaining in the regular season. The B's are slotted to play the Carolina Hurricanes, if the postseason started today, and Boston might be just fine with that given some recent injuries and a late-season skid for the Canes. However, Boston is 0-3-0 against Carolina this season, so for whatever reason, it just hasn't matched up well, and the Bruins aren't likely to tank to play the Hurricanes.

If the Blues ended the season today, they would have 102 points and face the Minnesota Wild. It appears that matchup is going to be locked in, and the teams are simply jockeying for home-ice advantage down the stretch. The Blues won a key 6-5 overtime win over the Wild this past weekend in this very same venue, before blasting the Nashville Predators on the road, 8-3, in another game on Sunday. St. Louis has won nine games in a row, and it has scored at least four goals in 12 consecutive games dating back to March 26, a 7-2 loss to Carolina. The OVER is 15-4-1 in the past 20 games for St. Louis.

BOSTON BRUINS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 46-24-5
  • ATS: 28-47
  • O/U: 34-34-7

The Bruins are looking for a little revenge after falling to the visiting Blues at TD Garden on April 12 by a 4-2 score, as Ville Husso outdueled Jeremy Swayman. Husso made 39 saves on 41 shots, while Vladimir Tarasenko netted two goals for the visitors, including the game winner late in the second period, and an insurance marker in the third for good measure.

The B's have won 19 of the past 27 games overall, while winning 11 of the past 15 games on the road. They're also 4-1 in the past five as an underdog. And despite its loss at home to St. Louis, the Bruins are still an impressive 16-5 against the Central Division, one of the top divisions in all of the NHL.

In terms of totals, the Bruins have cashed the UNDER at a 3-0-2 clip across the past five games overall, while the UNDER is 4-1-3 in the past eight games on the road. The UNDER is 3-0-4 in the past seven as an underdog, and 2-0-3 in the past five as both a road 'dog, and the past five against the Western Conference, including a push in the first meeting with the Blues.

ST. LOUIS BLUES BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 46-20-10
  • ATS: 45-31
  • O/U: 39-32-5

The Blues have registered four or more goals in 12 straight games, going 11-0-1 during the span, while cashing the OVER at an 8-3-1 clip during the run. St. Louis has two or more goals in 20 consecutive outings since managing to light the lamp just once in a 4-1 loss at home against the Ottawa Senators of all teams.

The Blues have been victorious in 23 of the past 32 games on home ice, while cashing in 20 of the past 26 as home favorites. They're also a perfect 6-for-6 in the past six as a favorite, while stacking plenty of wins. The Blues are 8-0 in the past eight following a victory in the previous outing.

On puck lines, the Blues have cashed in 11 of the past 12 games, with just the 6-5 overtime win against Minnesota on Saturday as the lone non-cover. So if you like the Blues to win, you should also play the puck line, too.

For totals, the OVER is 15-5-1 in the past 21 games overall, while hitting in seven of the past 10 games overall as a favorite. The OVER is 20-8-2 in the past 30 games against the Eastern Conference, too.

BOSTON BRUINS vs. ST. LOUIS BLUES BETTING CONCLUSION

These are two very good teams squaring off in the shadow of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The Bruins have been playing very well since the All-Star break, and the Blues are white-hot lately, just ripping off win after win as they try to hold off the Minnesota Wild for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Eventually, St. Louis is going to lose a game, and Boston heads into this one with revenge on its mind after suffering a loss on home ice to these guys just last week. This should be an entertaining affair, with the B's ending the unbeaten streak of the Blues with a high-scoring victory.
