After juggling a QB controversy between Justin Fields and Andy Dalton all offseason, Chicago jumped out to a surprisingly strong start to the year, as the Bears opened with wins in three of their first five games – which included a solid trio of victories over the Bengals, Lions, and Raiders.

The Bears’ offense has been awful since Week 6 though, considering Chicago enters Sunday’s contest following losses in six of the last seven games – while averaging 16.7 PPG and 2.1 turnovers per game across that stretch.

On the other hand, Green Bay also posted an excellent start to the new season, as the Packers kicked things off with an impressive 7-1 run – with four of those victories coming by double-digits.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers dealt with a minor toe injury across Weeks 9 and 10 though, so Green Bay’s offense inevitably stumbled upon a brief rough patch (12 PPG, 233 YPG) – but in their latest two matchups, the Packers’ offense has bounced back emphatically, averaging 33.5 PPG on 433 YPG across a two-game split against the Rams and Vikings.

I’ll lay the points with Green Bay here, as the Bears offense has scored 20 PTS or less in five of the last eight games (17.1 PPG) – which typically isn’t enough to keep things competitive against the Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Packers enter Sunday night’s contest as a 12.5-point favorite over the visiting Bears – marking the first time Green Bay has been a double-digit favorite since hosting the Lions in Week 2 (W, 35-17).

The total for Sunday’s affair is currently stationed just south of OU 44 at most shops, which marks the first time the over-under for a Packers’ game has stooped below OU 45 since visiting the Bears in Week 6 (U 44).

The Bears’ offensive struggles finally caught up with them though, considering Chicago enters Sunday’s matchup riding a miserable 1-7 skid – and now ranked 30th in both scoring and total offense (16.8 PPG, 298.3 YPG).

For a while though, Green Bay’s success was primarily predicated through excellent defense, as the Packers surrendered just 13.8 PPG across Weeks 4 through 10 – which is something they may get back to on Sunday night.
