Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Predictions

The Bills are going to be happy hopping a plane and going to the Suncoast of Florida to thaw out after that windy and frigid game on Monday night against the New England Patriots which resulted in a 14-10 loss. Buffalo might just be happy to hop a plane anywhere, as they have been outscored 55-25 in the past two games at home, and they're 2-0 SU/ATS in the past two road games, outscoring the opposition 76-23.

The Buccaneers appear to have righted the ship after a two-game hiccup from Oct. 31-Nov. 14 in New Orleans and Washington. The defending champs enter this one on a three-game win and cover streak, scoring at least 30 points in each of the outings while allowing 19.3 PPG during the span.

The Bills are going to be super happy to be warm, although seeing Tom Brady across the field might splash a little cold water on them. And while they're 2-0 SU/ATS across the past two road games, remember, the last time they were in the Sunshine State in Week 9, they lost 9-6 at Jacksonville. It's still hard to believe, even over a calendar month later.

The good news is that the Bills haven't had consecutive non-covers since an 0-4 ATS run from Oct. 13-Nov. 1, 2020 last season. Buffalo has fared well against the NFC, too, going 2-0 SU/ATS, including a road win against an NFC South team, the New Orleans Saints, on the road Thanksgiving night.

Buffalo has hit the OVER in each of its past six games as an underdog, and the OVER is 4-0 in the past four as a road 'dog, too. In addition, the OVER has connected in 3-1-1 in the past five on the road against teams with a winning home record, for which the Bucs certainly qualify.

The Buccaneers have righted the ship, and it all started on this field on a Monday night. Tampa pounded the New York Giants 30-10, snapping back into form, kicking off a three-game win and cover streak. The Bucs topped a good Indianapolis Colts team in their place, 38-31, the same one which steamrolled the Bills 41-15 in Week 11 in Buffalo. Tampa also the Atlanta Falcons by a 30-17 score last week, covering an 11-point number, even if they weren't quite at their best.

The Bucs have posted a 3-0 SU/2-1 ATS mark in three games against AFC foes, hitting the OVER in each of the past two. Their only home game against an AFC team resulted in a 45-17 whitewashing of the Miami Dolphins back in Week 5, covering an 11-point number as the OVER hit.

The UNDER has cashed in five of the past seven games for the Bucs, but the OVER is 4-1 in the past five against teams with a winning overall record, too.

Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Conclusion

The Bills have been a Jekyll and Hyde team this season. They started off the season looking like a Super Bowl contender, rattling off a 4-1 SU/ATS mark through the first five games. But wins over the Miami Dolphins, Washington Football Team and Houston Texans look good, but not great. The Bills have looked good, at times, but rarely ever great, but there have been times they have looked not good, and downright awful. See Week 9 in Jacksonville, or Week 11 at home against Indianapolis.

Yes, Tampa has losses, too, including perhaps a bad one in New Orleans, a team Buffalo beat soundly in that same venue. But the Bills are just showing the kind of consistency needed for a championship run, while Brady and Bucs are starting to ramp it up for another playoff run. I am not saying this team is going to have another drunken boat parade with tossed trophies and good feelings, but I am not betting against it, either, and I am not betting on shaky teams entering their building.
