UPDATE 5:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Ohio State is -3 (-115) at BetMGM, having spent the week toggling between various iterations of -3 and -3.5. Action is running so even, on the spread and moneyline, that BetMGM doesn't have much of a decision.

"Ohio State-Notre Dame is as amazingly two-way as you can get. Almost identical action on each team," BetMGM senior trader Cameron Drucker said. "I'm not sure I've seen a game this big have such close two-way action like this. Any result looks like a small win, currently."

UPDATE 12:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Buckeyes spent most of the week at various iterations of -3, which is where Fanatics Sportsbook opened this clash. Ohio State topped out at -3.5 (-115) Monday, but returned to -3 Tuesday.

The Buckeyes are netting 61% of spread bets/67% of spread dollars. And at Fanatics, this matchup is taking the most money of any matchup on the college football odds Week 4 slate.

The total climbed from 54 to 55.5 by Tuesday and hasn't moved since. Tickets and money are almost 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Ohio State (3-0 SU/2-1 ATS) is about to get its first legit challenge of the season. In Week 3, the Buckeyes boatraced Western Kentucky 63-10 giving 29.5 points at home.

Notre Dame already has four games under its belt, playing in Week 0, and is 4-0 SU/3-1 ATS. The Fighting Irish topped Central Michigan 41-17 as 34.5-point home faves, failing to cash for the first time this season.

Last season in Week 1, Ohio State beat Notre Dame 21-10, while the Irish covered as 17-point road 'dogs.

Multiple sportsbooks posted this game preseason with Ohio State a touchdown favorite. When TwinSpires opened it Sunday, Ohio State was -3 and has since inched to -3.5.

Notre Dame is netting 66% of spread bets, while 57% of spread money is on Ohio State.

"It's early, but it's shaping up to be a Pros vs. Joes game. Pros on Ohio State -3," Lucas said.

The total is down a tick to 53.5, with 65% of tickets on the Over/52% of money on the Under.

But Texas (3-0 SU/1-2 ATS) scored the final 21 points in a 31-10 victory.

Baylor (1-2 SU/0-2-1 ATS) got its first win, but it was hardly impressive. The Bears beat FCS foe Long Island University 30-7, failing to cover as massive 45-point faves.

Texas is up a notch to -15 in TwinSpires' college football odds Week 4 market. It's two-way action early, with 52% of spread tickets/59% of spread money on the Longhorns.

But Kirby Smart's troops did all the second-half scoring to escape with a 24-14 victory.

"Washington State getting more of the money here. And we saw some sharp bets on the Cougars, as well, early in the week," BetMGM senior trader Cameron Drucker.

That said, money isn't that much in favor of the home 'dog. Washington State is getting 54% of spread tickets/57% of spread money at BetMGM. Bettors are on Cougars moneyline tonight, as well.

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: BetMGM toggled from Oregon State -2.5 to -3 a couple times this week and is currently at -3. It's nearly perfect two-way play on the spread, with 53% of tickets on Washington State and money running dead even.

In contrast, Arkansas (2-1 SU/1-2 ATS) was an 8.5-point home favorite against BYU and lost outright 38-31.

LSU is already up 2 points to -18 in Caesars Sports' college football odds Week 4 market.

No. 19 Colorado vs No. 10 Oregon Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Oregon -20
  • Opening moneyline: Oregon -1667/Colorado +700
  • Opening total: Over/Under 72.5 points scored
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ABC)

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Two hours before kickoff, Oregon is laying 21 points at TwinSpires Sportsbook. The lookahead line last week was Oregon -14, and the game reopened Sunday at -20.

Spread tickets are 5/1-plus and spread money 8/1 on Colorado. And it's even more lopsided on the moneyline, with tickets 8/1 and money 10/1 on Colorado, currently +700.

"It's all Colorado. And Colorado moneyline is a monster liability. Oregon is our biggest need of the weekend," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total is down to 70.5 from a 72.5 opener. The Over is getting 67% of tickets, while 59% of money is on the Under.

"Sharp play on Under 72.5," Lucas said.

UPDATE NOON ET FRIDAY: Oregon is a 21-point favorite at Fanatics against Colorado, the trendiest team in the nation by far. Bettors are all over the Buffs, with spread tickets and money in the 9/1 range on Colorado.

The Buffaloes are +615 on the moneyline, and bettors are piling on there, as well. Moneyline tickets are 4/1 and moneyline cash almost 8/1 on Colorado. At Fanatics, Colorado-Oregon has taken the most bets of any of Saturday's college football games.

The total opened at 72.5 and by Thursday was down to 70, where it remains today. Early ticket count is almost even, but 73% of early money is on the Under.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Colorado is quite fortunate to be sitting 3-0 SU at this juncture. The Buffaloes (2-1 ATS), 23.5-point home favorites against Colorado State, were down 28-17 in the fourth quarter. Colorado needed a final-minute TD/2-point conversion to force overtime, tied at 28.

Coach Prime's troops went on to a 43-35 double-OT win, while thrilling bookmakers by falling miles short of covering.

Oregon is certainly part of what's shaping up to be a loaded Pac-12 this season. The Ducks (3-0 SU and ATS) did as expected in Week 3, punching out Hawaii 55-10 as 38.5-point home favorites.

Lucas said Oregon was -14 on the lookahead line in TwinSpires' college football Week 4 odds market. The Ducks reopened -20 Sunday and are now -20.5. That said, early ticket count is 3/1 and early cash 2.5/1 Buffs.

"It's all Colorado. We're moving with the market and fine with people taking Colorado at +20.5," Lucas said. "Colorado moneyline is currently +700, and that will likely be our biggest liability on Saturday."

The total receded from 72.5 to 71 at TwinSpires, with 66% of tickets on the Over/55% of cash on the Under.

"Sharp play on Under 72.5," Lucas said.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Oddsmakers were thoroughly unimpressed with Colorado needing double overtime to beat Colorado State. As such, BetMGM opened Oregon a healthy 17.5-point favorite this morning.

And that wasn't enough. The Ducks are already up to -19.5 in the college football odds Week 4 market.

Colorado (3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS) was a 23.5-point favorite against its instate rival and had to scramble late in the fourth quarter to forge a 28-28 tie and overtime. The Buffs put up TDs in each extra period and got the 2-point conversion in the second OT, then clinched the 43-35 victory with an interception in the end zone.

Meanwhile, Oregon (3-0 SU and ATS) had zero issues with Hawaii. The Ducks steamrolled to a 55-10 victory laying 38.5 points at home.

With Colorado failing to cover, sportsbooks recouped a ton of money that bettors hauled in on the Buffs in Weeks 1 and 2.

"One of the biggest results we'll see all season. You'd have to think it [killed] a thousand parlays," BetMGM trader Seamus Magee said.

But that noted, Magee fully expects bettors to stay on the Buffs bandwagon.

"I imagine we'll see Colorado bettors back next week against Oregon, getting double digits on the road," he said.

No. 15 Mississippi vs No. 13 Alabama Odds

Alabama coach Nick Saban will have Jalen Milroe under center this week. (Getty)
Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Alabama -7
  • Opening moneyline: Alabama -265/Ole Miss +205
  • Opening total: Over/Under 55 points scored
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday (CBS)

UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Alabama has been steady at -7 all week at TwinSpires. That said, spread tickets and money are in the 2/1 range on underdog Mississippi.

"Ole Miss getting 7 vs. struggling Alabama is too to pass up. A very trendy 'dog this week," Lucas said.

The total went from 55 to 56 on two-way play, with 59% of tickets on the Under/56% of money on the Over.

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET FRIDAY: BetMGM has toggled between 'Bama -7 and -6.5 a couple times this week and is currently at -6.5. Early spread tickets and money are almost 2/1 on underdog Ole Miss.

Early bettors like the Rebels even more on the moneyline at BetMGM, with tickets and money beyond 9/1 on the road underdog. Ole Miss is currently +210, while Alabama is -275.

The total went from 55.5 to 56.5 Monday, then peeled back to 54.5 by Wednesday. This morning, BetMGM returned to the 55.5 opener. Ticket count is 2/1 on the Over, but money is running almost dead even.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Alabama (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) seemed to have a Week 3 hangover after its Week 2 home loss to Texas. The Crimson Tide went to South Florida as 34.5-point favorites and found themselves tied 3-3 at halftime.

'Bama went on to an extremely lackluster 17-3 victory and has questions at the quarterback spot. But coach Nick Saban said today Jalen Milroe will start this week.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss is off to a 3-0 SU and ATS start. In Week 3, the Rebels wrecked Georgia Tech 48-23 giving 17 points at home.

TwinSpires hasn't moved off Alabama -7 on its college football Week 3 odds board. But ticket count is 2/1-plus and money almost 2/1 on Mississippi.

"Ole Miss getting 7 vs. struggling Alabama is too good to pass up. Mississippi is a very trendy 'dog this week," Lucas said.

The total is stable at 55, with 55% of tickets/58% of money on the Under early on.
