Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos Predictions

After losing back-to-back games (Chargers & 49ers), the Bengals now find themselves out of the main playoff picture and are now in the hunt for a playoff spot. With games against Denver, Baltimore, Kansas City, and Cleveland remaining, the Bengals road to the playoffs will be no easy task.

The Broncos have won four of their last six games and find themselves right next to the Bengals in the hunt for a wild card spot. Coming off a dominating 38-10 victory over the Lions last week, the Broncos enter this game with some much-needed confidence after being held to just nine points by the Chiefs the week prior.

This is a huge game for both teams moving forward and we should get to see some playoff vibes. The line opened at Denver –1.5 and has moved to –2.5/-3 most books. I like Cincinnati to cover and outright win in this one. The Bengals have not lost three games in a row all season and don’t see that changing in Denver.

Cincinnati Bengals Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 7-6
  • ATS: 6-7
  • O/U: 6-7
  • ATS - Away: 4-2

Cincinnati has struggled to cover at home ATS with a 2-5 record. Lucky for bettors backing the Bengals, they are on the road this week. Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings with the Broncos on the road. The total has gone over five times on the year for the Bengals but has gone under in four of the past six road games.

The Bengals offense has looked sharp all year and shows promising signs for the future. Coming into week 15 they are averaging 358.8 total YPG (14th), 250.1 passing YPG, 108.7 rushing YPG (20th), and 27.2 PPG (8th). The key in this game for the Bengals will be limiting turnovers. With 14 interceptions on the season, QB Joe Burrow will need to clean things up against a top 10 Broncos defense.

Cincinnati’s defense is allowing 349.8 total YPG (16th), 256.8 passing YPG (29th), 93.1 rushing YPG (4th), and 22.5 PPG (15th). Stopping the Broncos rushing attack and forcing them to throw the ball will be the game plan Sunday. Denver is just 2-5 in games when QB Teddy Bridgewater has thrown 30+ passes.

Denver Broncos Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 7-6
  • ATS: 7-6
  • O/U: 3-10
  • ATS - Home: 4-3

Denver enters this matchup having won plus covered in four of the past six games. Credit to the defense as the total has gone under 10 times for the Broncos on the season. The Broncos have seen success when playing the Bengals in Denver with a 9-1 SU record in their last 10.

Denver's offense comes into this matchup averaging 345 total YPG (19th), 221.9 passing YPG (19th), 123 rushing YPG (10th), and 21.2 PPG (20th). The offense favors the run with Javonte Williams (RB) and Melvin Gordon III leading the way. Bettors should keep an eye on the status of both players as they are listed as questionable.

Denver’s defense ranks in the top 10 among the rest of the league. Allowing 324.8 total YPG (7th) , 218.6 passing YPG (9th), 106.2 rushing YPG (10th), and 17.5 PPG (2nd). Denver will need to slow down Bengals WR Jamar Chase who has been absolute monster on the season. With over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 TDs on the season, the Bengals are at their best when he gets involved early and often.

Denver has gone UNDER the point total in 10 of its last 13 games. (AP)

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos Betting Conclusion

I like both Cincinnati +3 and Cincinnati moneyline in this one. The Bengals have performed well on the road ATS this season and have seen success ATS versus the Broncos in the past. Although just 4-16 SU in their last 20 matchup's, this is a revamped Bengals team with a lot of firepower. Backing the Bengals to get a bounce back W this week.
